This is for people who have COMPLETED the game, so will contain spoilers.
And when I say COMPLETED I mean COMPLETELY COMPLETED as there are some major events which occur right at the end of the game.
To start I don't know about anyone else but I thought the main campaign, without any of the side stuff, was quite short. Maybe its just I didn't notice how much time I was spending on it but the end seemed to come too soon. As a storyline it was pretty good if a little run of the mill, big Hugo Strange conspiracy stuff. I'm thinking Joker didn't die it was clayface pretending, batman was knocked cold for a while there and the real Joker could have done a little switcheroo. I just can't quite believe they would actually kill the Joker, hes practically the second main character in batman. I did think they killed quite alot of characters in this one, Hugo, Joker, assassin guy, assassins guys daughter. More main people died in this one game than practically all the comics (which I've read numerous... although not many compared to the whole collection).
As for the actual game play, It remains pretty much the same, so very good. I did have some issues with finding the right way to move forward constantly getting stuck and starting to get pissed as I couldn't find the way forward. Yeah that happened many times for me, the detective mode didn't cut it sometimes.
Come to think of it, what did the actually change about detective mode? Weren't they going to make it so you can't just be in this mode the whole time because its so useful. I've noticed a time limit now but you can turn it right back on again and its so bloody useful.
Combat remains great, relatively accessible, good learning curve, easy but challenging at the same time and a little variation with big one armed hammer guys shielded guys etc. I did feel like the camera was a little too zoomed out when your in combat mode which kinda made combat feel just a little less personal.
All the side quests are good too, the open world works well in the games favour plenty to do other than the main storyline and all are interesting. Riddlers stuff is much more interactive now which is fun and theres all sorts of stuff to explore and investigate.
It is a better version of Arkham asylum, hasn't been changed that much but that's a good thing because the original mix worked so well.
All in all a properly good game in a bigger and better way with more than plenty of hours in it.
