...is fucking *epic*. Why don't people revere this in the same way they do Batman: Arkham Asylum?

I do. I think it's pure fucking quality, eventhough compared to Dark Souls, it's rock hard.

Probably because there hasn't been a decent comic-book licensed game since the Spiderman games on the PSOne and expectations for it were understandably low to start with :)
It doesn't hurt that it has some of best level design and hand-to-hand combat mechanics in recent memory. Anyhoo though, I agree with you, Castlevania deserves its fair share of props for sure.

Lord of Shadows is a vastly superior games to Arkham Asylum, to be honest. It's combat is much deeper and far more elaborate, and it's story is great. Arkham Asylum barely had one, and what story it did have was incredibly weak.

It's also worth noting that I absolutely fucking *loved* the visual style of Lord of Shadows too. It looks like what I would imagine a Guillermo Del Toro directed Castlevania film to look like :)

Yeah, I definitely get that Del Toro feel about it too. Here's hoping that MercurySteam get to make a sequel, for this gen.

Problaby because C:LOS first 3 levels are pretty arduous. The rest of the game is amazing.
