So i bought Spider-Man Edge of Time last night and got in a good 4hrs of gameplay. Let me tell you, this is a refreshing game. Really when i play Spider-Man games i go into it wanting the best but expecting Mediocre outcomes and i was completely shocked by the fun this game really offers. Even though I enjoyed Shattered Dimensions to a certain point, I was really disappointed with it as a whole. At times the game put me to sleep with the spaces between the action where it was turned into a game of run away or hide and go seek. Edge of Time removes that entirely. Its continuous action with some platforming elements thrown in. The combat is so much fun with multiple ways to throw out some pretty looking moves.
If you ever played the Spiderman games for PS1, this really feels like a spiritual successor in many ways. I think that is probably why i love it so much. If you are tired of DLC being the normal route for unlocking extras, then this game is for you. This goes back to the formula of doing special tasks for unlocking bonus costumes, videos, art, action figures, news papers, and memos. You can go back and select a specific challenge on a specific stage to replay that challenge (that you might have missed or werent good enough the first time around to complete) by simply going into the web of challenges select screen and selecting a challenge to play. There are a bunch of bonuses to unlock and an average of 5 challenges per chapter. Well, since i havent played the whole game i cant give a complete and well written review so i grabbed 2 of the only reviews i could find and posted them here. Hope you try it out.

Oh, an Gamepro gave it a 3/5. Still a good score but after reading the review, it seems like he rushed through the game without even allowing himself to get into it.
