Trying to get into some podcasts, problem is there are thousands of the fuckers out there and it's hard to choose from the descriptions alone.
Would consider music (I'm into metal, alternative rock, indy rock, some mainstream rock, some folk), gaming, humour, news, tech, whatever, gimmie your recommendations and I'll try em out.
Go with the metal, humor and tech topics, especially heavy metal
for gaming:
Giantbomb is a must hotly followed by Gamers with Jobs and One Life Left, the Eurogamer podcast should also be on that list.
for interesting stuff
Radiolab is super interesting especially their long broadcasts, This American Life (although I am not American) generally has interesting stories (this weeks PI mums is fantastic).
Finally Top Score is a great podcast exploring the music of video games.
Gaming:

I would recommend you stay away from Google Listen for podcasts. I use it atm because I haven't bother looking for something else. But it works off RSS feeds and I find a lot of the time the podcasts are incomplete and I only get a couple of minutes or a few seconds instead of the full whack.

It was mostly Americans with one really top notch British guy on there. It's all a bit rough around the edges as it was first time podcasting for most but I thought it was pretty funny. Especially the British guy. I think he was fantastic and should be on more podcasts... ;)
I don't know why I listed iTunes as you clearly said Android...
More serious recomendations would be Epic Battle Cry for general gaming news and The Instance if you're at all into WoW / Blizzard stuff.
EDIT: And Film Sack for entertaining old / retro / random movie reviews. I really like this podcast.
I listened to the latest One Life Left when I was out and about earlier - I liked that - mentioned our very own JC - although this is not expressly why I liked it :-p (and a Dave Gorman podcast - UK comedian if anyone is interested, funny stuff).
I think I defo need a better player app, the free one I'm using is a bit cack. The best ones on Android are both paid, and quite expensive for what they are. One of them has a 7 day trial, so I might give that a shot.

The Guide series are especially fun! (Guide to Medicine, Art, Science etc...)
