Out today (psn and xbox live).
No reviews, no publicity (for the last couple of weeks) and not even a mention on the criterion games twitter stream.
Woss going on ?

It's probably shit that's why, and no-one is bothered enough to point out the obvious
Indeed, despite being a Criterion fanboi I'm finding it hard to enthuse on the subject. Seems weird to bury it if it is bobbins though, why not just market the crap out of it and fish in some fools (a la normal games industry workings)
@tenthousandgothsonacid
Perhaps they found it difficult to effectively market an interactive, child's car play mat :)
Only joking. To be fair though, like you i'm a Criterion fan and for the life of me i'm surprised it doesn't have more press (negative or positive) than it currently has.
There's almost an all-pervading sense of indifference about it.
I found an average review (so it can't be embargoed)

Another review rocking the average:
Been doing some more digging on this and have positive news :
Apparently some ad campaign featuring The Hoff is just about to kick off
It's 8 quid on psn but it's Trial and Unlock so we may as well give it a go and see if it clicks.
I love the Burnout series. Having said that, Burnout Crash is a complete waste of money, time (both consumers and developers) as well as being an insult to the Burnout series and modern downloadable titles in general.
It's utter crap and just fails as a game, imo ofcourse.

Obviously it's hitherto far from being shit.
Haven't tried the demo yet, but it seemed pretty good to me from the start, I like the bird's eye view.
.
.
@HeavyD-Love I take it you've extensively played the game then ?
^ Just the demo. For this type of game though, that's all I needed.
I've tried the demo and it's what I expected it to be myself. You can't free roam around the city or anything, it's just that - Crash mode with a top down perspective. I really like the cartoonish graphics, will be getting it further down the line personally.
I take back my comment, having tried the demo the game is actually a lot of Fun and I have bought it. It's proper fun light hearted arcade action with enough depth to keep you trying for more stars. If the guys that like it want to add me on autolog then my id is madjock-uk_sco
The demo was average imo. Felt like i was playing a pinball game with my car as the ball. Top down view makes the game appear like its a phone game. Burnout: Paradise wasa great game. Don't really get Crash!.
Art direction is beautiful. Game play is fun for about fifteen minutes. So once I'd played the demo, I'd had my fill of the game.
And what is with the lousy US voiceover from the obviously British actor?
I've turned off soundtrack the moment I heard it, as awful as the announcer is the Paradise radio was more annoying.
It's pretty much a puzzle game indeed.
.
Quite enjoying this but the english guy doing the DJ Atomica impersonation has to go.
Otherwise, audio is excellent, but that comes from being a 40 yr old UK resident much like the dev team.
