This is just my opinion and I am not going to list all the villains that are going to appear in this one simply because I don't wont spoil it for those that do not want to know, however,I will say that there are around dozen of them(or even more)revealed so far and who says that they are going to stop!?Now some of you might say that I should not come to this site if did not want to know news about this game or that those are not spoilers but,I come to this site to find out news about other games as well, and finding about villains while playing the game is simply put more fun!!Now,I do understand that they are trying to sell this game by doing this but don't they know that the sequel was SOLD to us the second we finished the first one!?And putting the name of the villain in the headline...not cool VG...seriously not cool...
Rocksteady revealing too much about Arkham City?

It's a fine line between building hype for an upcoming release, and over-egging it to the point where we all know 75% of what to expect when we play.
I agree with your plight, but I think you know you should be prepared to see such articles coming to a videogames news site.
Telling us what characters are to appear in a game isn't REALLY a spoiler.. unless they were previously thought dead or something.

It's fair enough that you put that disclaimer in there, but it doesn't change the fact that it's every bit your own fault.
If you don't want to know about the game, STOP READING GAMING NEWS SITES! They're gonna tell you stuff about games, because that's what they're there for.
Comicbooks even title themselves after villains they feature, as well as showing them right there on the cover.
Of course you're free not to like it, but it's not a valid complaint, as long as nobody's shoving it in your face. And they're not. You're seeking it out. Stop doing it, if it's uncomfortable.

#DSB As I said DERP,this is not the only game I am interested in,and I know ,it is so "hard" not to wright "Another villain revealed for Arkham City"instead of revealing it in a very first word of the headline. And comparing comicbooks with video games...apples and pears.

Oh, it's not hard. It's just a question of people not wishing or caring to accomodate every whiny little bitch on the internet, whenever he takes it upon himself to feel offended by something, that he is perfectly capable of handling for himself - if he were to take even the slightest bit of responsibility for his own stupid actions.
But instead, here you are!
"This gaming news site is reporting stuff about games that I may or may not want to know" - Guess what? There's ONE solution for that, and it isn't going to be that the gaming news site stops reporting on games.

#DSB I guess you are wright,my sincere apologies,I wont do it again,I 'm so sorry wright now and I wont complain anymore about anything.

Edo, your completely justified. There is such a thing as over saturating in marketing. A little mystery is always good so I'm with you on that.
As for DSB, are you seriously saying you enjoy hearing about all the potential boss encounters before you play a game you spent 40 quid on?!
Don't give me that bull about, "don't read it if you don't want to know what's going on"... Xbox live had villain reveals on their front page which were un avoidable.

I loved Arkham Asylum, I will be buying Arkham City, and I have no interest in knowing anything more about it than that, so I simply don't read those posts.
How did I manage? The mouse is in my hand, and I do not click the story. I've seen a list of villains at some point, but I still don't remember any of them except Penguin and Twoface.
Fair enough if you guys think they're putting out too much stuff, but that has nothing to do with what VG247 is doing, which is simply communicating the news to you. A good headline isn't "Nondescript Villain Released for Batman Arkham City". Think about the readers coming in from google. Are they gonna search on "Random Villain" or are they gonna search on "Deadshot Arkham City"?
If you're so sensitive, that the mere mention of a villain in a videogame takes away from the overall experience for you, then you really shouldn't be reading these kinds of sites.
I don't know if Rocksteady have actually been outlining the story or how the bossfights play out, since I made the decision not to read those posts, but if all you're whining about is a name, then you simply need to get over yourself.
