I found a nice article on wire, about consumer brand fidelity, it is pretty interesting and it shows new different results from previous studies on the same topic.

This is like the most unshocking realisation ever. Anyone whose spent five minutes on the internet could tell you that one.
Seriously though, nice article, if a little short on the details. I've never personally understood this kind of mentality. I own an Android, but I don't care if the iPhone is currently more or less popular. I use a PC, but if someone wants to use a Mac that's entirely their choice. etc. etc.
I'd be more interested in a study that attempts to figure out where the whole brand-identity mentality stems from.

Yes i agree, but is nice to have a study the confirms the findings, that like you said are not that shocking. 8D

Incidentally, I find people who like the underdogs for the sake of it equally depressing, if not more.
Come to think of it, the resistance forces are ultimately more idiotic, they also tend to diss products they would like but can't/hardly afford, and trick themselves into believing their own bullshit evaluations.. Such individuals tend to miss on lots of things their indeed superior nemesis offer. I reckon that's more funny.

@michael insecurity stemmed from real world issues and situations that then leaks down to something that helps take their mind away from the real world. i think if someone wants to "upset" or "u mad lol" constantly on the internet or real life over something like a electronic product then they're a prick and a simpleton.
