Yeah man, after people buy this game and played it. They gonna say; MW3 WHO?!
CoD is what I'd classify an arcade shooter, sames goes for Halo, Killzone & Resistance, not saying that any of them are bad, I like 3/4 of them, but they're too simplistic most the time, wish Bungie had designed big team battles to play out like a warfare game. Battlefield has always been the icon of true warfare games.
no such thing as a true warfare game my fellow dj
Wasn't being literal, it's hard to demonstrate exactly what I mean by 'warfare game' but Battlefield, ARMA, Joint Ops & even Star Wars Battlefront are prime examples of what I mean, they're different from the traditional shooter.
so you mean heavily based teamwork? thing with the new battlefield it looks less teamwork then bfbc2, and its abit dodgy how they havnt shown any xbox footage, either the xbox version looks complete garbage, or it looks like the ps3 version
Success in BF (yeah, even BC2) hinges upon good teamwork.
The fact that the players fail to grasp this is not entirely the failing of the game.
The tools are there, but it seems the average player would rather sit in a bush with his 12x scope around the fringes of the map than get involved.
Hopefully the inclusion of commorose will up participation as people should be able to communicate a bit more effectively (lets face it, without voice there is NO communication in BC2)
I'm yet to play a game of Halo when a team with better collaboration didn't win. You literally get served every time you play with randoms against a clan. Callouts is one of the first advantages they have. And you can't even win a slayer match with lame/worse teammates.
worst thing about halo is guests but daman you do know you can change the settings so you can look for chatty people or teamwork people
Yeah, I know. It doesn't work that well though.
I agree, guests is the worst thing about matchmaking, most of the time in the event we have more of them, our side loses. I like how some of them manage to go -25 in slayer matches.
i usually play swat just the fact that if you have a shit team you can still win as it doesn't require any teamwork and it takes some sort of skill to pull off headshots and get multi kills
This new BF3 vid is actually the first one to make me go WOW. The SP stuff was nice, but the wow factor there was more graphics. This one really shows off what differentiates the series in terms of design and gameplay.
I agree. That trailer really does have the WOW factor. Just that scene where the group of vehicles drive over the hill into battle gave me chills. And OMG the jets, the freaking JETS, they look so awesome.
My only gripe i have with jets (apart from them being a little slow) is that people will camp on the jet spawning points use and not use them the way they were meant to be used such as for ground support or base protection.
In reality i think alot of gamers with just play dog fight the entire match rack points up and rinse and repeat.
Thats what most gamers did with chopper back on BC2.
