At the moment my old rig is:
Motherboard:Gigabyte M61PME-S2
Chipset:nVidia GeForce 6100V
Processor:AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2,71GHz
RAM:Kingston 3GB DDR 2 800 Mhz
Graphics Card:Radeon 4670 512 MB DDR 3
Hard Disk:WD 500 GB
PSU:Seasonic 520 W
Monitor Samsung SyncMaster 923nw maximum resolution 1440x900
Now,what I want to do is to upgrade my CPU and GPU and my budget is around 150 euros. With that in mind I have found that AMD Athlon II x 3 445 3,1 GHz and Sapphire Radeon 5770 1 GB DDR 5 would be a perfect solution. But,(there is always one of those:))possible problem would be that my motherboard is a AMD2 and that processor is AMD3.Officialy,on my motherboard's official site it says that it supports that CPU(with a certain BIOS update)but that it would downgrade it's system bus speed. Now,what I would like to know is did any of you guys actually did this(put AMD3 processor on AMD2 motherboard)and was there any bottlenecking in terms of gaming(FPS downgrade and such).
For any help that you guys can provide,I would be very much grateful!
