Guys, I bought a new pc with a graphics card GeForce GT 630, now I'm thinking what games should I play first? Can anyone suggest or recommend something because I don't really play a lot in PC before. Thanks
Game Suggestion for PC(17 posts)
What kind of games do you like? Retro, indie, platform, puzzle, FPS, action/adventure, open world, RPG, racing, Real Time or Turn Based Strategy, horror?
If you come from console, get a decent controller like a wireless 360 adapter for your current controller. or wired controller. It will make PC feel like a console to you with Steam.
Definitely get steam, right now their is a Halloween sale. If you like scary games, I highly recommend Condemned which is really cheap right now, and still looks and plays great. (Not sure if it works with controller)
Deus Ex:Human Revolution, Alan Wake (on sale right now), Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Witcher 2, Trine 2, Fable 3, Bioshock:Infinite, Bioshock 1 and 2, The Darkness 2 (On sale), Serious Sam 3, Mafia 2, Dishonored, Crysis 2 or 3, Farcry 3, Metro 2033 and Metro last are all great games that look great on PC.
Well, it depends. What kind of games do you like? What genre? But you could start by shoving the pc down a toilet. Be sure to put on gloves before you do this because you don't want to get in contact with a pc! You'll have diereah for months! Then buy a wonderful hardware called Xbox 360 or x360 for short.
Play the most popular game in the world. Try it:
Play World Of Tanks. Try DOTA2 on Steam. You have a lot of choices. Play indie games, play multiplatform games.
Try out TOTAL WAR: SHOGUN 2 on Steam.
Half life collection, doom 3 bfg , killing floor , l4d2 ( on sale ) , portal 2 if you didnt play yet :p, skyrim if you like it for the mods, stalker with complete mod 2009, hard reset, TF2 ( is free ), ...
Fucking pc dweebs all spouting the same drivel.
Imst, do you like Fallout/Elder Scrolls on console? If you do, good taste :)
Now if i was you, i'd get New Vegas & then download all the mods that put the fun back into the gameplay.
Y'see Obsidian listened to pc epeen strokers & nerfed the gameplay & called it balance. The console version is a excercise in frustration, but now you can have a goodtime ;)
Escape Goat, Super Meat Boy, Kerbal Space Program, Payday 2, Borderlands 2, Steam Marines, FTL, Counter-Strike Global Offensive, Killing Floor, UFO: Enemy Unknown, The Witcher 2, Tomb Raider, The Stanley Parable, Sins of a Solar Empire, Psychonauts, Stalker (with Complete Mod).
And anything by Blendo or Introversion.
I'd say ArmA III, but there's not nearly enough content there for it to be amazing yet.
I'd say try Fallout: New Vegas. It's a brilliant game on its own, which helps as a starting point, but then you can build on it and see what mods can do for you. Even adding just one mod -- Project Nevada -- will make it an infinitely better experience. Across the Gamebryo games, mods provide you pretty much everything you could imagine to desire (unless you have an incredibly exotic and novel imagination).
That's a good way to introduce yourself to what's available on the PC in regards to mods.
Then I'd suggest trying The Stanley Parable, Gone Home, Shelter, and Kentucky Route Zero to see some experiences that would never exist on the consoles (publishers would never back them because they're too out there, but on the PC, you don't need publishers).
I'd also recommend looking into the history of PC gaming, if you're completely new. There's some incredible stuff in the past. Again, experiences that you couldn't have on a console. Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, Ultima VII, and just about anything by LucasArts.
That should get you started.
To second that it is on sale on Steam for a cute 5$ bucks. Grab it by the tits (Fallout NV).
Rising Storm - http://store.steampowered.com/app/234510/
Join us on the battlefield. It also includes all the maps from Red Orchestra 2.
The issue is that you do not provide your genre, type, style so it is really vague.
I would suggest to download Steam+Origin+GoG+GameStop apps.
Yes all of them, Steam is an app of choice but others offer good/better deals once in a while and/or offer titles Steam does not carry.
Search, read, find, buy through those applications, you will be rejoiced!
Ro2/rising sun is good clean PC fun, but if you want an immersive and lengthy horror/thriller/shooter/survivor experience, get yourself into Stalker:complete. Then go it all again when the lost alpha mod comes out.
Thanks for the suggestion guys. The game that I like is Role Playing Games. I'm sorry I didn't provide the genre of the game in my first post. Btw I will try Dota 2 since my friend is also playing it. But i will try other games too, thanks to the list I will check on this games.
Try Path of Exile then, it's online but is already much better than Diablo 3 imo. And it's F2P and the good thing about it is you can just ignore the item shop, it's mainly cosmetic and it never forces you to purchase anything. I actually haven't even opened it yet just to see what things they're selling. Been playing Nemesis mode with a dear friend and guildie from good ol' wow days, it's fun.
Wow thanks Darkfield i'm gonna check it first. If it's F2P then i'ts better, coz I need to earn more money now coz I want to buy a new monitor :)
