This game has gotten real popular recently. So popular in fact, I find that the servers are often full. Just made the switch to the european servers too, which also means you have to start all over again :(.

I've downloaded it. Could we get a VG247 team?

Despite being Australian, I play on the Euro West servers, my name is ChristopherJack, I'm only a level 9 but all my mates are level 30 so we can only play vs AIs. So I'd be glad to join a game with someone around or below my level.
Took me a few hours to get used to & I'm still not great, just be cautious throughout the entire game, only a handful of characters like Tryndamere can afford to play a little risky.
I'd highly suggest playing the tutorials before you play for real, even read up a few guides if you're still not sure you're good enough, even I have to do so to compete well.

OMG CJ is an Aussie... well now I can't take anything you say seriously. ;)
Jk.
I have never played this game before but if there is some sort of team action being planned I would love to try it out. I kind of rely on some sort of MP to really get me invested in a lot of games these days.

It's pretty ruthless and unforgiving for a newcomer, strongly recommend going against bots first. Not that I'm a pro or anything, I didn't like it much in part due to the ridiculous length of the matches, they can take about an hour sometimes. Couple that with the lengthy queue to join the server and sometimes you've wasted 2+ hours just to play one match.

Starting playing through the tutorials last night. It's approximately 50 billion % too involved for me at the moment.

Tbh, the negatives of wasting 2 hours, reading guides, playing against bots kinda put me off even bothering to try it out.

It's always worth a try, I mean the crazy popularity of it must mean theres some catch right? I just don't like it personally.

I could say the same about WoW.
And crack.

I was a big player of the original DOTA back on Warcraft 3 so I didn't even read the tutorials. Picked it up very quickly. However, if I'm honest I still prefer DOTA over this - having all the character's right away to experiment with was way more fun.

Hey Guys,
I properly started playing this last night and had two games of co-op vs AI. Lost both of them but I wasn't completely sure what I was doing but I definitely improved (or the other people were crap) in the second match.
Was a lot of fun though, I think I will definitely play some more of it. My name on there is Peacefish, I might have sent a couple of you friend invites.
Cheers!

@Viralshag, Try finding an experience friend or 2 to help you out. I'm far from great so I wouldn't be much help, the only advice I can give you is, play it cautiously & the default builds aren't necessarily the best builds.

GAME IZ ORSM BRAH!
:)
So, I'm really having a lot of fun with this game at the moment. Just below level 7 now (I think) after some major game-time yesterday.
I'm still playing some Beginner co-op vs. AI though, I have played a few Intermediate too which seems to be slightly different tactics. I haven't read much and sort of just picking it up as I go along.
I imagine I will get my ass handed to me in PvP but I will give that a go this week. Overall though, glad I tried it out. The co-op vs. AI games are not too crazy intense with tactics and you can learn the basics after a few games.
Like CJ said above, "play it cautiously," this is probably the best advice anyone can offer. The more sloppy kills you give away the harder the opponents become to fight.
I was feeling a bit burnt out in Rift and this has taken up the role of fulfilling all my level grinding needs for the time being. I would really recommend it if you haven't played it yet.
