Well fuckin' done CD Projekt..i'd say.

If this comes out this year..no delay or whatsoever. It means i get to enjoy Skyrim and The Witcher II...RPG heaven, and RPG is my favorite game genre BY FAR!!!!

I've even considered for a very short while to buy a pc for the game...but soon i realized it was crazy. I was hoping so much for a 360 version and it's happening and looking this good too. Shit...i'm just happy!!!!

I certainly hope they have a way to informing the X360 players about the original story otherwise you will be lost and not like Mass Effect 2 lost I am talking dumped in the middle of the Atlantic in the night type lost.

Bioshock 2? It wasn't necessary to know about Andrew Ryan or Jack in that game. Witcher 2 makes a crap load of references from the first game and even the main plot is a reference from the original game.

@Phoenixblight I was joking, I meant in the first Bioshock where you start in the middle of the Atlantic in the night after that plane crash.

Thats it for the port? wow.
I want to see gameplay most of all. Because after these low poly screens, it's a mediocre port already.

PS: also, without Witcher 1 good luck understanding story in Witcher 2. I mean seriously. If someone is excited for Witcher 2, grab Witcher 1 fast or you won't understand the plot AT ALL.

To be honest, even book is required for this game. you won't understand what Geralt is trying to achieve. Only in book it says why.

* Aiming for 30fps and the equivalent of 'medium' PC settings
* All PC content released will be bundled with console release
* All DLC will be free
* Not a 360 exclusive, PS3 version may follow once the 360 version is done

@blerk, so much for the medium settings with Low polygon bushes and low resolution textures.

Texture downscalling is on high already.

Well, they said that's what they're 'aiming' for - obviously they might not hit it. Plus these are (by their own admission) pre-alpha screens, so it's a bit early to judge.

I'd rather they included all the content and stabilised the frame-rate than go over the top on the pretties and have to cut stuff out or have it stuttering like a drunken tramp, though.

If they can get it running smoothly and looking at least half as nice as the PC , 360 owners are on to a winner.

I haven't been playing it as much this week but it's such a good game. I play on it on the PC with a 360 controller anyway. If they included some goodies that are worth it, I would probably get the 360 version too.

And check the gametrailers thread, they show comparison shots of PC and 360. PC shots with medium-high settings and compared to 360...and the 360 shots do really well.

I'm very impressed with how it looks.

I still can't run Witcher one smoothly on my PC, so the port of Witcher 2 is a welcome thing from me. It doesn't have ot hit high PC style benchmarks. Just run good enough that I can enjoy it.

So how good is it really?

Some of the reviewers I really respect are saying it's outstanding, and that irks my interest, but at the same time, so many others are saying it's a flawed gem.

I hate paying full price for close, but not quite :p

There seem to be quite a lot of people complaining that the combat is "broken", and plenty of moans about difficulty spikes and super-cheap bosses. But equally there also seems to be plenty to love. Perhaps they'll iron some of the gripes out by the time the console version launches?

Edge just gave it 6/10, incidentally.

Combat is all over the shop at the start of the game for me. Barely played the game because it just doesn't want to be loved by me.

Ok, call me easily impressed (especially since I haven't gamed on PC since 06) But these graphics look pretty damn impressive. For console gamers that haven't played the PC version, it' sort of like, "you don't know what you're missing because you've never had it" huh? Doesn't bother me at all though :)

Also Erthazus, thanks about mentioning the book, I had no idea they had one out. I love reading sci-fi and fantasy setting books, favorite type of genre.

It does have its faults but with the patch some of the menu issues were sorted out. I do think the inventory screen badly needs a sort option. And like Hunam said, the combat can be all over the shop but I still think it is fun.

Ok, so it might be a bit hack and slashy but I have found the progression through the skill trees to improve on it. I think it's stupid and pointless to gripe about the combat early on in the game as it does open up as you gain more skills.

I think the looks speak for themself, if you have a decent PC the game is nothing short of gorgeous. The only other thing which I am getting slightly miffed with is the constant use of the term "ploughing" as it seems to be used in every other sentence... But that's just me :P

I really don't care about graphics, they don't particularly bother me very much at all. I've gotten games like CSI and the old bioware games and not given a shit. Infact it bothers me a little bit when people comment on how good a games graphics are because to me it doesn't change how good the overall game is. Besisdes the graphics look absolutely fine, infact much better than fine they look great.

The thing that wories me the most is how they're gonna convert the UI. This is an area that you can so easily go wrong beacuse they're both so different inputs. You can do more with a mouse and keyboard but a controller is more specialized for gaming.

You're post made me laugh Noodle. Wanna know why? Because the game is actually optimized for controller use. In fact, in my honest opinion, the game actually play's better with my 360 controller.

Because if it works on PC(navigating through the UI) with a 360 pad...why wouldn't it on the 360 itself?
