Riiiiiiight.
I consider myself old school but I have never enjoyed the top down shooters. You versus the RNG god which sometimes becomes pretty 1 sided.

Hey OG, obviously you don't have an iOS device. Otherwise you would have played Cave's superb bullet-hell shooters. You would enjoy them ;-)

I have a long line of Shooters just like you described manamana, spread out across about every system ever put out. I had to import most of em, but I got em.
I don't have anything iOS tho. Just not my style. I don't need an ear bud dangling from my head everywhere I go ;)
I know I take jabs from my kids all of the time, I don't even text lol
To each their own PB, I love these type of things and this one is four players same PC screen - very cool.

I gotcha. I go absolutly bonkers for 'em tho. Just wish I could still play em like I used to. First thing I look for now days is unlimited continues and a monkey mode!

My thing is old school type 2D platformers like super meat boy, PB WInterbottom, and I am currently waiting on Limbo going to Steam if the rumor is believed to be true.

@OG its ok. Its just that dodonpachi and espgaluda are perfect(!) ports and verygood playable on that touchstuff (I play upscaled on iPad and its really arcadey). Just wanted to let you know. You gotta listen to your kiddos, hahaha!

Oh and I forgot to mention that I also really love the oldschool 2D games. My wife is just like that. She tried Zelda PH on DS and while she liked it, she was like: but in Minish Cap everything was so detailed and so cute ... Hahaha, same thing with DragonQuest. I'm more familiar with platformers and shooters. Guess its all nostalgia ...
