Every time i try to play online it asks me to create a new character. It started yesterday and this is the third time ive lost all progress with a character. Not sure if this has something to do with Rockstar matinance or something else. Any thoughts or info i should know about? Im on xbox 360 btw if it matters
Anyone else having GTA Online problems?(10 posts)
Yep, same here. It fucking sucks IMO. And the 'choose your grandpa to change your nose' sit is a pain in the ass!
I just want to make Jim Lahey from Trailer Park Boys... Is that too much to ask R*?! :/
360 too btw...
@monkeygourmet : Yeah creating a character is a pain in the ass, i dont think they could have done it any worse. But what ticks me off is seeing all the progress i made just to go down the shit drain, wasnt much but was still something. Not to happy on the idea i have to race Lumuar everytime i want to play online either. "sigh" i hope R* fixes this problem soon.
I had that a couple of days ago on the PS3, people were saying it's due to problems with the cloud, as that's where your info is saved. I don't know if you lose your character permanently or if it comes back when the cloud is working properly again.
Online has been working fine for me since the last update but I've not tried it today.
Same, my character got deleted at Rank 17.
Just makes you think, Xbone was gonna rely on this Cloud bullshit too.. dodged a bullet If you ask me.... imagine..... want to access a single game and get the "Cloud Unavailable".
My guess is we don't have to worry. (XBOX360)
Here's my experience so far: I created a couple of characters before being able to do the first race with Lamar.
Then, I could play a couple of hours with it, and the next day it disappeared. I switched to Story Mode and back to Online a couple of times, and then it told me that the servers were offline.
At this point I close my console and went back a couple of hours later, and my dude was there again. From there I could play everytime I went back on my console. Even after the update. I was able to reach the rank 39 with an appartment and a nice car by grinding on missions and stuff.
And yesterday when I went to play, my dude disappeared again. I switched to Story and back Online a couple of times, and then again it told me the servers were off. Today, same thing. A friend of mine couldnt find his dude either, and Reddit is full of people that whines about their losses too.
So my guess is once the servers are up again, we will find our characters with problems. I didnt create a temp. dude in fear of overwriting my other dude. So I'll be waiting.
@KAP Yeah, you tell yourself that, but I'm guessing futures games are going to have this issue anyway regarding multiplayer.
Althought I recognize that they shouldnt forbid you to play offline games when your console doesnt have access to the internet. That's the only concern I had with the previous X1 policies.
I haven't seen the online version of GTA V. But i'm guessing it's more awesome than the regular single player.
I think the right question would be: is there anyone not having a problem with GTA V.
Yeah well at this point, it's not true anymore.
