LulzSec, which has previously taken responsibility for hacking Sony BMG’s Japanese website, has promised more attacks against Sony soon. “Phase 1 will begin within the next day,” the LulzSec twitter feed read just before announcing the PBS hack, following up on its warning from Friday: “We’re working on another Sony operation…it’s the beginning of the end for Sony.”

all this because they havent been laid? someone cough up a few bucks for a willing woman please
Well I can see this thread descending into a stand-off between the Sony Defense Force & the usual goons rubbing themselves with glee over this >_>
You see orbit that's where you're wrong imo.
I love the 3 and have spent equal amount of time on both this year but that doesn't mean I cant criticise.
I really don,t want to get into this again but Sony are big boys who advertise a service to rival there competitors and atm Sony are losing that battle big time.
Lets be honest here no matter what you think of MS as far as on-line goes they have pretty much led the way this gen on consoles.
Sony were catching up and wamma this crap hit them so in all fairness to criticise them is fair game imo.
Get it sorted man I mean its like 6 weeks now.
A long time in today's ever changing world.
As a footnote I reckon they will come out of this stronger but the fact is PS3 only owners who love on line play where left stranded regardless of who was to blame.
I'm surprised it hasn't taken longer, really. From what I hear from people who understand internet security, the system was quite simply woefully unprepared to withstand an attack.
So in all likelyhood they've had to completely rethink the system, essentially rebuild it, and obviously make damn sure that they don't repeat the same mistakes again.
I don't even care to guess how much something like that would cost, especially for a company racing to get it done as soon as possible, but I reckon they'll need to sell quite a few plus subscriptions to earn it back.
Hackers are selfish narcicistic understimulated pricks, no doubt, but when I hear people reflecting on how easy it was to break PSN, the reaction seems to be shock and amazement. That sounds to me like a wake-up call waiting to happen.
