Radeon 4850 is, according to IGN, the template for Cafe. I'm pleased, i thought it would be roughly around the same power.
i hope its a brilliant machine i really do, i need a next gen.

That videocard is not even in production anymore. Sure it's more powerfull then 360 or PS3, but just a graphics chip generation ahead.

Why would it be Erth? Nintendo is not going to go a console ahead, they want to make a console that is affordable. Its Nintendo's Dreamcast. When the new gen consoles are announced/released the the Wii 2 will be put in its place once again. Not like it won't be in the first place since Multiplat developers will be catering to the lowest common denominator(Xbox 360) and then port their games around the PS3 and Wii 2. Wii 2 could have better first party games but Nintendo's thing is this cartoonish look so it doesn't matter.
Graphics cards don't work like on consoles as they do PC's. Look at Uncharted 2, my PC would have a tough time with that and the PS3 uses and geforce 7 based chip.
It might have the edge when it is released, but i'm sure the next PS3 and xbox will leapfrog it again. Still in the meantime it might be able to enjoy all the third party games.
I think the specs will be good, i think they are aiming to a 50% more powerfull than the ps3 and 360 specs, which will be fine, even when the new ps4 and 720 consoles arrive, the wii 2 will have the ability to run newer games, the difference will be not that big like this gen, i do also believe that graphics power dont dictate the winner of a gen, all the previous console winners indicates this the ps1 and ps2 and now wii as an example.
But what it does intrigue me the most is that it said it will be the easiest platform to develop for, and that will be hughe if it ends being true, imagine a console that has a good power under the hood, but the cost to do it is very low with lower efforts, and i think this will be key to the success of the nintendo new console.

Said someone who don't know nothing about game development.
The reason why Uncharted 2 looks great is because it is developed for One Platform. If Uncharted 2 for example could be developed for one videocard (which is impossible) you can expect the same or even better quality on the PC.
Also, graphics in Uncharted 2 are not great, level designers worked in most cases so it looks stunning because of that. Cut scenes there are just video format.
@Phoenixblight, i didn't expected Nintendo to have the latest tech, but when really NEXT GEN consoles come out they are almost on par with PC's.
I expect something like that From MS and Sony.
Look at sony's NGP. Real Next Generation handheld. No handheld or mobile in the world have 4 core CPU.
