I don't think so personally.
Its over and done with and its amazing how quickly folks forget things.
Man I enjoyed my blast with KZ3 tonight having been unable to play it recently.
I was after having a few beers so aiming was not perfect but I didn't care tbh I was just glad to be back in to it.
So we had a big hullabaloo over it been down and I was one of them but hey wtf its back and thank goodness.
Anyone agree?
Will The Downtime Affect Sony........

Only time will tell.
Unfortunately a lot of people will believe a lot of the misinformation that was spread around in the wake of the initial downtime despite Sony countering it. They massively shot themselves in the foot by not getting information out quickly enough.
Their apology program might win a lot of those people over, but again, only time will tell.

It didn't effect them while it was down so it definitely will not effect them when its up and running.
Now SOny knows to keep their shit up, running and protected.

I'm an Aussie & PSN is functioning for me, too bad most the game that i'd normally play like AvP & Assassins Creed: Brotherhood will be baron as of now.

Of course a month long downtime will, we 've already seen it happening with those trade-ins reports. Particularly affecting the brand reputation in perspective.

I don't think it will chase away the core Sony loyalist. And it won't chase away the mostly offline players. It also shouldn't chase away the multiplatform owners.
However in the eyes of mainstream users, people on the fence, and heavy online players, I would say yes.
I even wonder if the downtime will further pubs interest in mulitplat games. They may not be as eager to do Sony only promotions(Portal2 comes to mind). And the having too many eggs in one basket looks alot risker now then before.
But in the end if your asking if dedicated Sony fans will leave in the long run, I don't think so.

It is a blip that Sony can & will recover from. Though if it were to happen again....

Nope, it will be forgotten about for the simple reason people will be too busy actually playing games.
