   I've been playing the original Deus Ex lately and I'm still surprised just how sophisticated the game is, even compared to today's games. Obviously I'm not talking about graphics/sound etc, but the gameplay is still fantastic. But really, I keep thinking that Warren Spector set up JPS, he had some great ideas about fantasy games and sci-fi games but for some insane reason he joined Disney, who have little to no interest in the games market. So now, we have one of the best designers/writers in gaming trapped in some Disney run hell hole making fucking facebook games or god knows what now.

   Basically, Disney should sell JPS to Warner or Bethesda and let them get on making great games.

   Even after they had laid off half the studio he is still there so he wants to be there if he wanted to he could just leave the studio and go somewhere else but he doesn't.

   He is not chained to the studio being forced to make games like you are thinking. He wants to be there.

   He's in his 40's and it's a studio he built himself, I'd imagine it's more comfortable for him to still be there than having to do all that work over again.

   Well Disney is not going to sell the studio and its Warren's fault for signing on that dotted line. As I said after Epic Money, Disney had laid off half the people at JP and he is still there. He has a choice. Hell, Will Wright left EA and had made another independent studio and he is 5 years younger than Warren.

   After listening to him speak and seeing how lame Epic Mickey was, I would doubt he had a major hand in the good parts of Deus Ex.

   He was basically the guy behind the entire game. Teams weren't that big back then. Epic Mickey was just some weird game from a team that doesn't know how to make family friendly platformers.
