Wake me up when GTA fucks off.(41 posts)
Ell oh ell.
GTA V is really quite good though.
It still has absolutely no respect for your time. Making you drive all the way back to a house just to change your stupid fucking outfit is always fun, right?
I also played a game of tennis that was so boring I started pondering the meaning of life, the universe and everything... But when stuff actually happens, and the game isn't just carelessly wasting your time, it's really quite good.
I love me some Heat, and GTA V is really intent on sucking Heat's dick.
Does it have Henry Rollins though?
Checkmate GTA. Checkmate.
You can never have too much Henry Rollins, only too little. I swear, he will forever be that goddamn nazi from Sons of Anarchy to me, and that's obviously more than slightly ironic.
Wow Erthazus, can you truly only bitch about consoles cause it seems you are always unable to say something good about it at all. How about we don't go comparing PC versions with mods to a console game? How about you take a look at my two screenshots and just say something along the lines of 'damn, that is rather impressive for such old hardware' ?
Cause i have seen Watch Dogs on PS4 at GC and what i just had in GTA V, what you can see in the screenshot impresses me a whole lot more. GTA V indead has a next-gen look to it at times.
What on earth are you running that on Moonwalker? My game looks nothing like that (360 slim). It doesn't have the slightest hint of AA.
It looks like this when its raining and this time of day i guess, cause other times it really doesn't look as good as that. Also don't forget that it always looks a lot better on photos than it does here. But in the case of that screen, it really is pretty much how it was on my plasma. At times this game truly is nearing next-gen territory when it comes to graphics. This is also 360 btw. Yesterday i had rain in the game again, and for some reasing the aliasing isn't noticeable then.
I don't mind games like GTA: games I can't stand, think are ridiculous nonsense and want nothing to do with - yet fill the game time of all my friends. I've no problem with that (why would I?). What I hate is the pissy little hissy fits from people who can't handle it when people like me say they think it's crap and don't like it. "How DARE you criticise a game I like!" scream, er, people who criticise things they don't like all the time.
I posted on my FB wall that GTAV looked overhyped and a bit rubbish (more of the same bad writing, racial stereotypes etc) and I wasn't going to buy it. The abuse I got - from supposed FRIENDS! It was hilarious. I would have got less trouble if I'd told my mates I'd just done violated their sister without her consent.
The GTA brand is turning into a modern cult, just like Apple.
PS And before you say it, I tried GTAIV and I've sat and watched a mate play V for about three hours yesterday. Both only reinforced my views. If you like it, great: enjoy!
@Moonwalker Ah, that makes sense.
The settings also seem to change drastically depending on whether you're moving or standing still.
Whenever you're moving, it really gets pretty jagged-looking.
