Heavy enough to get me a week off work :P
Not heavy enough that I can't lift a controller :D (or go for a sneaky pint)

might want to take the rest of the week off.. just to be sure.
And thanks Shag! though difficult, I can just about manage a few days without the Playstation. What makes me laugh the most is that her parents bought her loads of cooking aparatus! whisks, blenders & stuff.. She can't cook for shit, so this should be funny. I'll undoubtedly use it more than her. And christ, if anyone bought me that kind of stuff for a birthday, especially a 21st, I'd go fucking mental!
I've just had an email from PS Access, and it appears I'm on the guest list for EA's BF3 Preview Event in London tomorrow night >_< I'm not really into FPS', but hey, it's something to do!
"She can't cook for shit"
LMFAO
Hopefully, UC3 around 3-4pm today. Otherwise Hydrophobia: Prophecy last night (PSN). For a free game it was pretty good though it had still issues.
Still deeply entrenched in Dark Souls, although I have Batman and Encharted just sitting there. /quivers
Battlefield, Battlefield and more Battlefield. That's about the only game I have been playing a lot over the last couple of weeks.
Batman was fantastic though. Really enjoyed that game, a lot. Also had a quick go on the Nightwing DLC, he is pretty nifty and better than Catwoman but it order it still goes Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman. Batman just has the best moves.
Started Batman but haven't really had much time with it yet, loving it so far. Picked up Uncharted 3 last night on the way home and managed about an hour or so, brilliant. So that's me sorted for a little while at least.
I've been playing a lot to Left For Dead 2 until Battlefield 3, which is now the only game I play for now and I will play probably until Diablo 3 arrives...
Mmmmm... Diablo 3....
Dark Souls, Enslaved, and The ICO Collection.
I want BF3, UC3 & Skyrim, but I have an unopened Mass Effect 2 still waiting to be played.
Is Mass Effect 2 (PS3) worth lots of my time? or should I make THAT wait until after Skyrim?
I love RPG's, but didn't really rate the demo tbh.
What to do what to do... my gaming-time is scarse, and very precious!
@ Deacon, I take you're coming in fresh to the series on the PS3 then? I played both on the 360 and I have to say, ME is one of my top game franchises ever.
I would definitely say it's worth a lot of your time. At the same time, it's a SP game and if you haven't played it yet, you might as well wait until a month or two before ME3 comes out.
Even though it's got nothing on ME2, I will still go back to it if I want a totally new spec character and play through the whole thing. It's not everyone's cup of space opera tea but if it is, I'm sure you will love it.
Do Skyrim first so you have something to talk about with everyone at the same time ;)
@Deacon: I really really enjoyed the shit out of ME2. I've never played a game like that before, but I dunno, it's special. Second playthrough's a bit of a chore by comparison, but still.
Thanks guys. I do love being able to join in the conversation on a newly released game, but the old man in me says 'wait a month or two until the price drops, and in the meantime finish up all these other games!'...
I'm really up for a full-on, epic, story-based game, and I'm thinking ME2 will be more of that than Skyrim. Besides, I had some bad bug fuck-ups with Fallout 3, which put me off ever finishing it.
I have a week to decide. I'll let you guys know which way I go!
And thanks for the advice regarding ME2. I am completely new to the franchise. Doesn't the PS3 version have something on the disc detailing the events of ME1?
Recruiting people was fun, but then the game stopped a 5 hours later which does so that I have a hard time recommending it. Yeah, I spent a bunch of time on it, 50+ hours according to Steam, but I was greatly disappointed that the game ended so soon after having recruited all my necessary team mates.
Personally, the story pulled me in with the first game. The combat did the same for me in the second instalment. Hopefully, the third will be a combination of the good stuff from both games. I haven't enough to make a proper judgement.
As for ME1 (from Wikipedia):
"Because the original Mass Effect will not be released for PS3, Bioware, in collaboration with Dark Horse comics, created the interactive comic Mass Effect: Genesis. The comic allows players to understand the plot and make six key decisions from the original game that will affect the player's Mass Effect 2 experience. It is now available as a DLC for all three platforms."
Thanks Takeshi. That's a great idea with the interactive comic. I wasn't aware of the choices either.
@ Deacon, I think there is a comic or interactive comic to bring you up to speed on the story. That's all you really need because ME1 was good but ME2 is in a class of its own by comparison.
I think you could go either or on the games and would have a good time. I definitely thought ME2 was an epic experience. My other advice would be to try and avoid reading how other people played the game. One of the best parts is finishing it with the decisions you made.
When I finished my first play through which I thought was perfectly great, only to be surprised when I spoke to others about how much more successful they were in the final mission. I almost instantly went back to try and right some wrongs haha. And then I went back again to do the opposite and be a total universe-wide dick and try to kill everyone.
Honestly, ME2 – LOVE IT!
Before some days ago,Crysis 2 start, but only the people. It is very interesting, but I have a delay, it makes me really angry big problem, because I just do not know why. I never had problems before XBL. I am also waiting for my VPN provider gave me some free traffic, so I can finally buy the upgrade.
Crysis 2 and Rage, which will be neglected for awhile once Skyrim arrives.
Rage is very enjoyable, great graphics and gameplay, i'm loving the weapons, human control darts a favorite.
Last week Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3.
The week before that Batman.
This week, MW3.
Next week Skyrim, Revelations and Halo Anniversary.
A plethora of wonderful choices at our fingertips. Overwhelming at times. Thank God for Kmart gaming coupons..
Skyrim FUCIN YEAH. Then a bit of Saints row the third when time comes about.
i´ll post it again. this is my list for the rest of this year probably...i love it:
gears 3 - awesome game. can´t get enough of it.
halo reach and halo ce anniversary. no words.
skyrim!!!
and finally the german telekom to get my damn internet fixed...
=
all i need to be a more than happy gaming nerd
Well, I'm over Batman: Arkaham City, Battlefield 3 (only campaign), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Uncharted 3. Next game will be Jurassic Park: The Game on the 15th. I may be playing Dead Island or LOTR: War in the North with my friend in the weekend.
I like the growth this post has got since I made it so I should of course add to it. I am playing Valkyria Chronicles, Star ocean, DCUO, Genji Day of the Blade, Crysis 2(my biggest disappointment this year, eternal sonata and White Knight Chronicles 1. Main on the list are Valkyria Chronicles
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, all weekend, with a tiny bit of AC: Revelations in for added measure. But mainly, MGS. MGS2 is still awesome, and I finished MGS3 last night. Still remember now why it's my favorite game of all time. Still to do Peace Walker, but ACR's going to push that off for a fair chunk.
This order:
Batman:AC (finishing up the first play through)
Uncharted 3 (going back to get platinum)
MW3 (run through the campaign)
Battlefield 3 (run through the campaign)
MGS1 Twin Snakes
MGS HD Collection
MGS4
I wont be buying another game for the rest of the year. Ill wait to get Rage, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and House of the Dead Overkill DC early next year
Finished Uncharted 3 over the weekend, brilliant game. Going back through on crushing difficulty soon, but going to spend some more time with Batman now and finish that. Looking forward to AC:Revelations too.
I'm sorely tempted by Skyrim but it's not my usual type of game if I'm honest. I'm not sure I'll have the hours to sink into it in order to do it justice, is it worth it? It doesn't seem like the sort of game I can pick up for a couple of hours when I get the chance. I've got a week off in December so maybe I'll wait and give it a shot then.
Lego Harry Potter is out this week too, and the missus has already told me she's buying it so I think that will be next up anyway.
I'm gonna borrow a VPN so I can unlock Saints Row 3 in euro-time.
T minus 3 hours! Fuck yeah!
@DSB
Let me know your take on it. It looks loads of fun. I might pick it up some time next year.
I've pretty much already decided that it's gonna be awesome, but I'll do my best spider :P
Finally into Arkham City. Had 'gamers block' there for a while but broke through tonight :D
Being The Bat feels good. Harley Quinn is one of the best characters EVER. Makes me do real life LOL's :D
Catwoman missions are excellent. Nice change of pace when they crop up. I thought Rocksteadys representation of her was a bit shit at first but now my minds totally changed.
Hopefully Arkham City will last me about 3 weeks, then its on to AC Brotherhood and AC Revelations back to back. Was going to pay over the odds for a copy of MGS HD but i might just wait till feb and get that nice limited edition... who knows.
