Recently we have had a couple of really good old school style releases.
This week brings us Bangai-O HD and Moon Diver.
If your a Dreamcast fan you know Bangai-O already. This is a hard as nails, eye candy laden, shooter I believe to have been developed by Treasure. Great game, were you jump, bounce, float and fly through enimy filled stages blasting everything.
MoonDiver was a bit of a suprise for me. Its an old school style 2D side scroller beat em up game from Square Enix. I say Beat em up but its more then that, this ain't no Final Fight. You have four chars, each with different skills/styles. Each char can level up and be customized with new skills. The game is four player local co-op and over LIVE. Flashy graphics, tight control, vertical and horizonial stages filled with baddies. I liked what I played and will jump back into it later on.
Bangai-O is 800msp and Moon Diver is 1200msp.
Instead of talking about games and systems that can't be played, I thought I would share a couple that can be played. Somewhere in the fanboy rehtoric certian people forget to ask why some of us play more on one system we own over the other.
For me that reason has always been games like Bangai-O and Moon Diver.
