thats what im saying, but i didn't want to go all out and say the game had better grphics in everyway than the first one because i may have got allot of people that could argue otherwise in some places, i mean it runs on Direct X9, and were on Direct X11 now. yes crysis 2 is a console port, and now its not even as good as it should be on the console... which is the hole reason for them to go multi platform, which is what im saying. but dont worry theyve got $$$ to compensate for the complaints.
and about the native resolution of the game. i wouldn't no on the demo as i have my PS3 on 720p standard [and it still looked terribly but that was an old build so]. as i usedto play COD and for some strange reason that usedto run in native 1080p aswell and performed even worse than in 720p [and that was bad]. hhmmmm if it does run in native 1080p as with COD [oh coinsedence M$ payed them out too] then that is just stupid if its not even full 720p.
it doesn't change the fact that the game is still not as sharp, slightly washed out, and doesnt perform aswell as it could do, all in 720p [switching from 1080p doesn't fix the problem, it just makes it less noticable].
games that i have on the PS3 are in 720p and make you play them in 720p, like killzone. that just proves the stupid little things that the developers do to try and make the PS3 verson appear that little bit worse than it is [M$].
and somone from Crytek has been quoted saying along the lines of "we have made it in 3D without losing any quality in the image whatsoever"
yeh crytek thats because the quality is that much worse origionaly, duh.
i mean how many people play it on 3D with their 3D TV's? hardly anyone compared to the amount of people that dont have 3D TV's yet. its all just to cover up or justify the fact the game doesnt look as good as it should do on console or PC.
it is so stupid, but hey they got payed. they just want to advertise their engine now so someone buys, so theyre not too dissapointed i would imagine because of the $$$ they got and the game not looking as good as it can do on all platforms doesn't effect the look and feel of their engine.
