Interesting, thanks. 5 hour campain usually means 6-7 hours for me, I poke around, explore, take in the vistas etc. I'll probs pick this up once it goes down in price.

Bias review?? 8.6 because of its narative progress and not gameplay? Why we need a score when its contradict with what have been written within the review? Better to wait for RPS review! we certainly need 2003's Freedom fighter gameplay for this one (pC mod for this would be great)

Watch some campaign play. A.I. looks awful, will probably pass on this unless I see otherwise :D

I have heard mixed things from real dudes (as opposed to reviewers, who are generally lying money sucking fucks...)
One dude who played the beta was pretty excited about it on a "if they fix this, this and this, it'll be fucking awesome", another dude I talked to tonight said he thought the MP was gash, but he was playing alone so it might be better with a team of bros.
Basically I'm still split.

It seems to be just another shooter that you either hate or love, but the general opinion is that the MP is great fun while the SP was ruined by dumb AI.
I guess it goes down to whether or not you hate CoD & don't want to wait for BF3, but one thing is for sure & that is this is THQ's largest marketing campaign ever, whatever site I visit, it's there, I go into my local GAME store, it's there & in full force too, even this site has it.Posted 2 years ago # -
Doing a round-up later on. I've heard some mixed scores between those going around so far and the lot embargoed until this afternoon.

Yeah EG review is up 4pm. I'm guessing C&VG review had some sort of "deal". Vids of the MP does look interesting. Quite CoD in some respects but bigger more expansive maps and more tactical. So I'm interested - though only in the MP.

IGN review ... http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/115/1155414p1.html ... 7.0
Surprisingly well written review considering it's IGN. Worth reading the text properly rather than just the score.

Yeah I might grab this today for the mp, that's really the only reason I've bought any recent fps. After I do I'll post my opinions if anyone wants to know.

Bilson clearly lied http://www.vg247.com/2010/10/09/homefront-to-get-multiplayer-demo-confirms-thqs-bilson/
I was tempted by this, between Homefront and Crysis 2 but personally I believe that if you're going to launch a new ip then you should release a demo because I can either pick new game that's got no credentials or sequel of a game that was really good.

Nah, he didn't say there definitely would, he said he believed there would, i.e. it was on the cards, but for whatever reason it never materialised, probably because they were struggling to meet deadlines if the stories about how much extra time KAOS staffers were having to put in at the office were true.
I think the demo hopes were quashed in December or Jamuary.
They should have done a demo though. I'm still interested in the game, but not at full price with very mixed reviews and no demo. That's the gaming world today. People are less willing to take a punt on a game with mixed scores in a year where we're looking at must have titles in the double figures for most people this year.

Just finished the first mission and thought it was OK.
Played a couple of MP matches and again thought it was OK.
I rented it for 5 days but so far I have no complaints on either aspects.I mean in all fairness MW2 sp was pretty drab for the most part as you were been led by the hand through it.
I say that as a fan btw.Posted 2 years ago #
