   Sooo...

   I was playing DA2 with my father, on Xbox 360. After 5 hours playing I wanted to save his game and go further with my own save. But then I noticed, that I couldn't save. The save button is grey, also the load button. The autosave also didn't work, only on the first checkpoint in the game. Well, after telling father, that his save is broken, I tried to load my save ~20+ hours played, and what happened? My own save is also broken. What the hell is going on?

   I can't load, I can't save, I just can start a new game, but why should I, I still can not save. I tried another hdd, also an usb stick, deleted the cache, tried to reinstall the game, still the same problem :(

   Any ideas what to do? BioWare is already informed.

   1) Buy a PC
   2) Connect your PC to your TV
   3) buy Dragon Age 2
   4) Play it
   5) Save it as much as you want by pressing F5 (you can also make a lot of saves if you want and havethem in additional folder)
   6) ???
   7) Profit

   Or i have a better solution. Just stop wasting your time with one of the worst Bioware games of all time.

   Or really just wait for the patch, i think your game is just bugged. Thats it.

   The same bug is on PC also, so this wont help. And I can save as much as I want on Xbox 360, it's just the game, that doesn't save or load the files :/

   Never had that bug.
   That happens when you are in combat and it blocks out the save option. Have you tried going to different areas and then saving?

   Yes I've already tried that :( The only thing I didn't try is format the hdd, but why the hell should I, other games/saves work perfectly :( BioWare support doesn't answer yet :(

   WoW Not sure what you can do. Does the game still save if you go in and out of an area? If so I would just wait on that save until its patched and play another save. I am 30+ hours in and I have not experienced this, not saying it will happen again but the chances may be slim for the other game.

   If the game still saves when transitioning between areas and before a huge fight then you could continue to play but base your saving around that. I am not sure what else can be done until a patch is released

   All these problems I am hearing with DA2 is so very disappointing. You didn't use the Shield Glitch to cheat did you?? Where you equip a shield and then un-equip and make your armor go up a 100%. That is a bug in the game, but if you do that then it bugs up your whole game and won't let you save. So I don't recommend using any of the Cheat glitches that are now being posted!

   I haven't heard of any of these problems with Dragon Age 2. I'm like 22 hours in now without a single problem. I had a 11 hour session yesterday without turning off my xbox, and I was pleasantly surprised my xbox didn't blow up.

   Nope it doesn't help phoenix. I tried to save in town and outside, it didn't help. I also tried other saves, but they're broken now = unable to load. The only thing's possible to start a new game and play without saving :D

   @Frostquake: Nope, I didn't even hear about that and I have only Mage and Rogue classes :(

   @Dralen: Well, I also did not experience such bugs. There were some minor things like weird loading times, unvisible characters, but it's not as bad as corrupted saves :////

   Hell, if nothing else works I'll make a backup and clean my hdd completely, it's the only thing I didn't try yet.

    I think I had the same bug on the PC version of Mass Effect once. The game kinda thinks your still in combat and refuses to save.

    Alternatively, is your HDD on your 360 fucked? Have you got a USB pen drive or one of the mem cards you can try instead

    No the HDD is okay and just as I mentioned before, it also doesn't work with another hdd or usb device...

    But I'm already on the back up of my saves and profiles, then I'm going to format every little piece of memory, that was in touch with the console, last try :(

    Have you tried clearing your cache?

    If everything else is fine, it's clearly not your HDD.

    A friend of mine and I had the same problem. One sulotion that works most of the times is to go into your Xbox harddrive and delete some of your saves. Be careful not to delete working files. This is, of course, if you dont save over your old file. Deleting the corrupted saves and the autosaves is a start, sometimes it doesnt say that the file is corrupted - the lack of an image of the scene you saved at is a hint. You might loose a hour or two, but at least you dont loose all off your gameplay.

    I hope this helps someone, even tho its a very late answer.
