I was referring to your fanboy answer Pat.
Must learn to do commas. :(Posted 2 years ago # -
No worries :D

"And no rounded corners."
Boo. ;(

One thing I would love is if you had a mobile version of the site. I visit the site on my smartphone constantly, but navigating it is very cumbersome and slow on such a device.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate such an addition.

"Patrick Garratt The weekly wrap-up's a good idea. I'll have a think about who could do it."
*cough* *cough*... *COUGH* :P I'll do it :D
@Michael O’Connor (Just above) Same, I come on here now and again with my phone and it can be hard to navigate sometimes.

I second (or third) the wanting for a mobile version of the site. I want my VG247 on the go baby, and BBQ sauce to go with it!
Anyway, excited about the the new stuff Pat, not to say it's about time.

By the way, wouldn't this technically be VG247 V. 3.0? =P
Anyone remember back when the website's URL was videogaming247.com? Heh, seems like forever.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Yep, noted on the mobile thing. I'm going to push for that next. An awful lot of people look at it on mobiles, and I'm definitely aware of that.
I called it 2.0 because the last one was really a 1.5. Mart brought that up this afternoon, too :D
And yeah, I remember the URL. Sweet memories...

I will also hitherto be known as Xena Warrior Princess on the site once it launches. Just so everyone is prepared.

^ Will you be performing cringeworthy battle cries as you somersault through the air?
Posted 2 years ago # -
I'm so absurdly psyched about this. Seriously, every day of my life that doesn't somehow involve a site relaunch is a massive disappointment.

@Gek, only if you ask me nicely :)
Posted 2 years ago # -
Steph, you got a costume to go with that statement?
HIYO

Would it surprise you to learn that I do?
HEY NOW!

Fanboys 3.0 vs VG247 2.0
Who will win? YOU DECIDEPosted 2 years ago # -
"New navigation", you say Pat?
Hmm... I hope that doesn't mean a change to the current blogroll format. I quite like it - never more than one click and you're reading a story.

I think pat should add the ability to choose a mini icon next to our names, detailing which console fanboy we are. It need to me much easier to see with all the newer commenters turning up.
Posted 2 years ago # -
What about those of us who support all formats?
My name field would be a giant mass of tiny icons!
Posted 2 years ago # -
No on the fencers here. Pick a side buddy.
Posted 2 years ago # -
I want a Spectrum icon, then!
Posted 2 years ago # -
Spectrum's for pansies.
Posted 2 years ago # -
SNES.
Posted 2 years ago # -
WonderSwan FTW.
Also, no ignore button = ...
Posted 2 years ago # -
Ahh, a mobile version of this website would be brilliant, I always look at it in the morning to Uni, and on the peasant wagon home!
Posted 2 years ago # -
How DARE you, Cullen! Outside, now! :-D
Posted 2 years ago # -
In that case... Amstrad CPC 464!
Spectrum sucked ass.
Oh, those were the days of real console rivalries. When owning a different machine meant that there were *actual* real differences in the versions of the games that you got to play.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Amstradlol! :-D
Posted 2 years ago # -
At least the Amstrad could display more than two colours at a time.
ZING!
Of the three machines of the time, the Amstrad was easily the most graphically powerful. Of course, it's sound had nothing on the Comodore's SID chip, but the Spectrum was also the worst in that regard too.
Spectrum suuuuuucked!
(See kids, this is how you do real console rivalries. Not like that lame PS3 vs 360 bullshit you have going on at the moment, where 99% of the time there's no actual meritable differences in a specific game depending on the format that you own.)

If there were to e a mobile version of the site, please pull an Engadget (but add comments) and DEFINITELY NOT a Gamespot
