Now I'm personally recommending this game.
Shat bricks. Perfectly blend of World building, scene setting, tension building like crazy. It just creeps and creeps and builds and builds and its right at the start of the game.
I thought this was going to be just another Amnesia or something like Paranormal (a UDK indie game thats really not very good), its far from it. Far far from it.
It has full body modeling for the player character, which by itself does not sound all that interesting. It comes into play because they actually modeled some animations into the game, grabbing the edge of a door frame as you lean around it, balancing yourself on the floor as you crouch walk. It just grounds everything hugely, leaning into a door slightly to peak around it.
I really don't want to say much more about it, go into this spoiler, video view free and it will blow you away. Its set up is pretty generic and middle of the road (It reads like a new entry in The Suffering series for God sake) but its execution is the opposite.
Seeing as A Machine for Pigs comes out in 6 days, I have a horrible creeping feeling that Outlast is going to become slightly over-looked. Unfairly at that.
