Tea so many holes, I don't think I can fill 'em all, my back will wear out before I get them filled in.
But I will pick up a sholve anyways. Call me a saddest I guess.
"^ if the short answer was yes then why the long detailed propaganda :D We owe M$ NOTHING! They owe ever consumer a new 360 that won't break or scratches disk, and millions of dollars back for xbox live that they already get tons of money for from advertisers trying to sell me everything from pizza to rebook sneakers."
You could get away with this one if:
PS3s never broke(I replaced my first BC Fatty little after one year of purchase, Sony made me pay for the privilige, MS replace two of my systems for free). Systems break, esp when they get used day in and day out.
the idea of in game, online, advertising is nothing new and nothing MS invented or implemented first. VG247 has banners, games have signs, posters, PSN has advertising, heck, bud, I pay for Cable TV and yet each channel is filled with commercials.
You can't single MS/xb360 out for these things. All systems break(yes RRoD was bad, but MS replaced 'em, and the problem is much less now). And advertising is everywhere on everything.
"Hilarious! Pure over the top gut busting comedy there my friend. Tell me please what M$ did to revolutionize gaming last gen? Unless you mean they were actually the first company to make a controller the size of a football....or how about the first console you could actually do weight lift training by bench pressing the 500LB console"
Funny. But really, how about in game voice chat. How about Broadband built into EVERY system. How about insisting almost every game have online features. DLC. Xbox Arcade(started on xboxone). Built in HDD. A line up that was heavy on western style games rather then a flow of imports.
As for the controler, the xbox S controler is one of the reasons many folks swithced from PS2, I loved that controler.
And the PS3 is a pretty heavy system too, isn't it? The 3DO, the Neo Geo, neither on the light side.
"I'll tell you what revolution is. Revolution is a thing called Eye toy....Revolution is a thing called Game/Movie machine hybrid right out the box....Revolution is having a console that is still selling to this very day still striving to hit an even higher record of the world's record which it already has.
That was REVOLUTION "last gen"
Geez. I mean really? You wanna go with Eye Toy? Ok.
Eye toy last gen was like the Zapper Gun for the NES. It was neat. Nice to show off, and was promtly put down and forgotten about in order to play Mario, Zelda, Metriod, etc.
A revolution has to be something last changes the way everyone does something, and then lasts afterwards. Dreamcasts online was revolutionary and ahead of its time. MS putting BB on every xbox was revolutionary. Eye Toy was an add on, weak and poorly supported. If you wanted to use an old PS2 add on that had more of an impact go with Sing Star.
Asd for the movie player that was nice. I used mine to play movies most of the time. But xbox also played movies. Sure you had to buy the remote to activate it. You had to buy memory cards for PS2 to save games, you could use the built in HDD to save xbox games.
As for PS2 still selling, you understand that MS discontinued production of the xboxone right? They wanted to shift forcus to 360. I didn't like it, but most of my xboxone games play on xb360. I have a BC PS3, but most PS3 owners don't and can't use their old games on their new system. Of course they can still buy new PS2 to play em(hence the sales), or they can rebuy HD "collection" packs like the GoW/Sly releases.
"and please don't say M$ had xbox live because SONY had a shitty no platform network and still managed to have the most played by players on a gaming console last gen with a little title called "SOCOM""
First off, Halo 2 says hello. Secondly MS did have LIVE on xbox. And PS2 was a nearly non exsistant Network for playing games. SOCOM was decent. But is just one game. LIVE had a lot of online focused games.
PS2 also had online games, I enjoyed EQoA with PS2. But of course I had to buy a BB adapter and a HDD in order to use it. And that brings me back to my point, Xboxone had both of those things built in. And that sent Sony scrambling to catch up, both last gen and this gen.
You may not like it Tea, but, no doubt about it, MS has left a hella sized footprint on the games industry. I don't even know if Sony would have had SOCOM or PSN if not for MS and their LIVE.
