I remember reading somewhere there was a webiste where you can plug in any PSN account users name and it would pull up their trophy list. They don't have to be on your friends list and you can do it on computer/internet. I was just curious, does anyone know anything about this? Thanks in advance.
View other players trophies (PS3) NOT on friends list

Dude you don't want to do that. Just be happy you are the highest on your list (if you are). I've seen guys up to LVL 20 already and its just like how, WTF! They must be cheating somehow or are SONY testers or something.
I can't be bothered trying to be number 1 for trophies on PSN, I love things like vacations, cars, and of course women. Its just good competitive fun with friends on my list to me. We always try to one up each other week after week. If you still want to find other peoples trophy count and you know their PSN ID, send them a friends invite and you can check and compare their profile trophies like that.
I give M$ credit for starting this achievement/trophy stuff. It adds a lot to hardcore gaming. It also rewards gamers who don't have time to unlock everything in a game a sense of completion when they get a platinum trophy.
Now can someone start a thread explaining which they think is better achievements or trophies...should be a good debate.

LOL. I was just curious of an old friend of mine who I don't talk to anymore and where he's at that's all.
As to your debate on trophies vs achievments, I've always felt a scoring system is better than a percentage. Why? Perception. If I complete only the bare necessities of a game like say FEAR 2 and I get 20% of the trophies....I feel like 20% is really nothing and I barely accomplished anything. In addition, I can't help but view the 20% in relation to our standard grading system, in which case 60% or below is an "F". Hence, I feel like 20% is crap or nothing.
Whereas with points, that might be 20 or 200 or whatever and it just PERCEPTUALLY comes accross, to me at least, as some points are better than no points.
Does that make sense what i"m trying to say?

yea makes perfect sense...you're an insecure person :)
I've never felt that way about trophies whereas achievements just gives you a big fucking number. You have 100/1000, that's gay.Trophies: you have 60% completed in Fallout3. It doesn't mean you fail, it means keep going until you hit 100%. That's it. You can't go higher than 100%. 100% is the max everyone knows this. 100% is universally known as "COMPLETED,FINISHED,AIN'T SHIT ELSE TO DO BUT MOVE ON TO SOMETHING ELSE".
Achievements: 100/1000....ok why not 2000, you're telling me 1000 = 100%. Huh? 100 is 1/100th of 1000 WTF!!? Some DLC bonuses achievements boost it to another 250 I believe. It just feels empty and messy. I got 1750 points in Fallout3 and 1250 points in Too Human but I've completed them both at 100%. Whaaaaaat???
If someone compares your achievements with theirs I can see that being very confusing and the competitive nature to all of this "MY DICK IS BIGGER THAN YOURS" competition can/would become lackluster. Which is why so many people/xbots stop enjoying collecting them and mocking them as Nerd Points.
You prefer them no problem I just want to make sure you understand the logic in your error. But good debate so far, I think I'm winning. :)

My error....haha....you're pretty funny.

LOL I just realize something else that was funny.
"It just feels empty and messy"
How can emptiness be messy..man I need to lay off the caffine :)

Level 20? WTF? I've been working my ass off in a friendly rivalry with an old school chum and I've got a third of the way through level 8.
20? How many trophies is that?
And why is it that the more you get, the slower your progression becomes? I know a dude with just 14 trophies (all bronze) who is on level 2; I've got about 450 trophies (including over 360 bronze) and every time I win another I go up about 1%. At this rate I'll need more than 50 more to get to 9.
To the OP: I've been looking for such a thing but cannot find one. The UK PlayStation website has now been updated with new features including 'compare trophies' and 'view friends also playing this game', but only for those on your list of course.

It's cool - no biggie - thanks!

The higher LVL you are the more trophies you need to get a higher % rate. For instance when you get to LVL 12 you will be at 1% forever. You will swear that the trophy system is broken because you can get 5 gold and 5 silver and you still won't hit 2%. Its just like playing a Final Fantasy game or any other RPG. That's why in my opinion its better than a number score that just adds 100-1000 points.
As for the guys who are well beyond LVL 15 I guess they just rent games when they are released and play for the trophies only. Most people who are interested in trophies don't care about unlocking every piece of art work in a game. They feel satisfied with their gaming experience once they get that shiny platinum trophy. A LVL 20 guy has an average of 20,000 trophies O_O
At the end of the day its all fun competition to me. For the guys with all bronze they are noobs :) and for the guys with the easy platinum's you are bastards :P For the guys who have the hardest trophies (SSDHD:Late Bomber, WipeOut HD:Zeus Mode, and KZ2:Legendary difficulty) I salute you! :)

No-one has the WipEout HD platinum. It's an urban myth. I refuse to accept it.

lol I'll have it as soon as I can find 6 other people for the bling brigade trophy. I said 6 because I can use my other ps3 as another racer. the trophy requires 8 players. having two ps3, the ability to share your games, and psn being free makes getting some online trophies much easier. Can you do that on xbox live....
Also Cort I believe the Warhawk platinum would be more of an urban myth. I've only seen one person with it.
