So how can I make people who @ me, who I am not following, show up on my Twitterfeed?

Use something like Tweetdeck and have it show your 'mentions' or if you are using the site you have to click the @YOU on the right hand side.

Yeah, what Roybott said. Tweetdeck or Twitterfox if you want to use Twitter from Firefox if you use Firefox.

Twhirl's good. Tweetdeck pissed me off after a while.

I am some sad loser who was scared off by Firefox, and still uses IE.
IE works just fine, apart from the incesssant crashing.

Twhirl will be your friend then. :) I find Tweetdeck to be less obtrusive than twhirl so use it in the office. I suspect Twhirl has better features though.

@Pat, Tweetdeck has been 'fairly' recently updated and for me works alot better than it used to. A lot of the features that existed but didnt work are now fixed (such as easily creating groups and bits)
