my first ps3 had a bluray problem so i sold it and got a used fat ps3.
now this fat ps3 is having problems. WHen i turn it on it turns off instantly, it's becoming problematic that I have to turn it on about 10-15 times just for the system to work smoothly.
Another problem is that certain games are showing sign of lag like Tomb Raider Guardian of light using the bomb gets delayed to plant another after planting one.
And MK9 heavily lags and doesn't read inputs in Arcade Ladder
After playing Last of Us which shuts off the console nearly every 15mins, many games I've played in the past are starting to shut down the console.
It's either a sign that this 40gb ps3 is dying or I need to use termal paste.
I also want to play Shaolin Monks again, but I don't want to buy a PS2 and 2 controllers just to play that game. Since Sony won't add the game on PS2 Classics on PSN:/
And I was thinking if I should get a 60gb Premium PS3 just to play SHaolin MOnks or just get a Super SLim.
so my question to you is:
*should I open up my ps3 and use thermal paste so the CPU heat sink can cool down?
*get a used PS3 60GB Premium so I can play Shaolin Monks on PS2 without having to have a ps2 console?
*get a Super Slim and save myself trouble of console failure and long lasting console?
*just get a used ps2?
Because the problem is if I use thermal paste on my ps3, I will have to keep repeating the same process of opening the ps3 adding paste, closing. And then few months later repeat process.
If I get a 60GB PS3, i might encounter the same problem i am having now sooner or later
is it worth it to have ps2 console just to play 1 game?
what's the best decision?
