So, I have not seen a topic on this yet, so here we go.
The Steam sale just ended, let's list here what we bought and a little review on the ones we played. My list:
Dark Souls is amazing (sure, it could be considered the worst port in the history of games, but if you have a controller, I'm using a DualShock 3, it's completely playable), it takes what was good with Demon's Souls, expand it, remove the grinding and makes an awesome game. The open world aspect is interesting at first, but I'm lost now, you never know where is a good and possible place to go. But it's really a sequence to Demon's, hard, unforgiving and locks away it's lore and mechanics like it's the last piece of turkey in christmas.
Portal 2, not much to say really, an awesome game, be it the singleplayer or the co-op campaign. Have yet to try the community maps.
Borderlands 2, good like the first one, but it seems the magic of borderlands is already wasted, it's more of the same, but now the guns are so weirds that you can't base on the stats alone, you need to equip it and shoot it to see if it's worth or not. And a lot harder if you want to play solo, I've finished the first one solo without problems, but in 2 I'm suffering at the first bosses...
Terrarria, if you like exploring amazing randomly generated content, this is the game for you, it begun as Minecraft in 2D, but it's more "gamey" than MC, it's hard and have amazing bosses, lot of crafting options too. The most apparent downside is that if you want to play online, you need to know the I.P. of the host, something archaic.
Max Payne 3, a little too hard for my taste, I think I will start it again on easy. It's not like in Dark Soul that when you die you learn your mistake and do it better next time. I seem to be dying everytime because someone circled my cover and I didn't seem him coming. Also, I can't find multiplayer games with more than 2 people...
Fallout Collection (1, 2, Tactics). Played only 1, very good game, haven't played it before, needs some patience thanks to the controls not aging well. And the graphics makes my eyes hurts sometimes even with the high res pack.
