If you were sent to a desert island indefinitely (with electrictiy and all the stuff you'd need, etc), and could only take one (offline) game with you, which game would you take?
You're not allowed more than one game, and if you tried to take more than one, your chosen console/computer would be taken away, and you'd get nothing! So there!
I'd pick WSC Real 09, because you can never get bored of snooker, really.

The Secret Of Monkey Island - it contains a detailed account of how to escape a desert island so therefore is amusing AND educational.
MGS3-simply the best game i have ever played
Civ 4, because well, you can play it for eternity if you really wanted.
Rise of Nations. I still play it and still obliterates every RTS I've played so far. SO good.
Either Civ 4 or a Street Fighter 4 arcade cabinet.
AngbandTk - which contains variety of Angband variants.
Age of Empires DS since it's what I play in an enclosed space already...
GTA IV - bit of shooting - bit of driving - plenty of time to memorise Liberty City.
