Errmm... You are the one getting upset because your favourite game, which you conveniently continually forget to mention (probably because it's just not as good as COD4!) failed to win the 'G1GAHURTZ posts a video 2009 GOTY award'!!

Which GOTY?? I didn't know there was a universally recognised GOTY for games... Whose is it?? IGN's? GameTrailers'? EuroGamer's? Gamespot's? Joystiq's? The BAFTA's?
You tell me...
I am very well free to say that MW2 will win "GOTY" as I like, just as I am free to say that Roger Federer will win the next Grand Slam, or that Brazil will win the next world cup!
I have a strong opinion! Get over it!!
It's based on my knowledge of IW's development standards, a bunch of previews, and what I personally have seen so far.
As for my criteria making Wii Fit a GOTY, then I don't see Wii fit either being critically acclaimed OR award winning as COD4 undoubtedly is, so not quite.
Lets face it. When it comes to the combination of sales, reviews and awards, there isn't much that comes close to COD4, so all indications point to MW2 being even bigger, and even better!

I think it's more of a
Kid A - MW 1 (as they deviated from the ww2 formula in this one)
Amnesiac - MW 2 (as it seems almost like a "b-side", no offense, compilation that some people will end up liking more than the original!)then again, I just remembered Bayonetta, which voids this entire thread. Sorry, MW2.

Just had a look around to see if anyone had MW2 down as a cheap pre-order for 30 quid but no-one has it for less than 40 quid. Then I noticed the rrp is 55 quid !

probably easily worth it though, given the fact how much people will end up playing the multiplayer. still, at the end of the day, it's a fucking joke and a simple cash-in on the brand, it's not like making it cost more than, say, killzone 2, which shipped whit the same amount of content. I am so close to boycotting this game just because of activision's shady as fuck business practices.

Now that is bad...
However, I doubt that most retailers will go above £40.
I plan on getting the (more than likely) collectors edition anyway, so I was expecting to pay around £60-70, but a £55 RRP for the standard version isn't good at all...

G1ga you know GOTY will probably be COD MW2. You're just trying to show off. I really hope the killzone devs have a strategy against the massive drop in online activity they will see when MW2 launches.

I think most games will probably see a big drop tbh TEA... Hope they are prepared for it this time though. For some reason, every time a big MP title like this comes out, people don't seem to have been prepared for the massive increase in traffic.

apparently, the 3rd DLC for Killzone is supposed to be "the best thing they ever made". too lazy to find the quote for ya, might've been the official killzone twitter.
