Its not being made by the same people, but it looks really nice, as long as they haven't changed the screaming ants sound effect this could be a winner.

And theres wasps \o/ I really missed the flying ants from the ps2 version as they didn't appear in the xbox360 version.

One of my fondest gaming memories is of those damn flying ants, me in a tank firing wildly and missing every time whilst reversing at full speed through houses. I learnt a valuable lesson that day, don't fire a cannon at a 500ft ant hill....it really pisses them off.

I wonder if the 'uncontrollable star wars rip off hover bikes' will make a return :D

Really great news that a sequel is coming, I loved EDF to bits. It's one of those games that I'll never get rid of, even if I didnt have a console anymore.

The amount and scale of buildings, enemies, projectiles, explosions and FUN being thrown about puts current day shooters to shame!

I never did get all the achievements. Time to revisit it maybe!

I played it for about 5 hours over the weekend, started playing through it on hard, got about halfway through the campaign then hit a brick wall. the level where you have to take out the massive walking fortress with never ending waves of shitting ants.

Can't wait for some online co-op action.

Could this be the birth of the intentional bad video game.....i bloody hope so

Honestly, its so fun, i don't understand why there isn't any clones of this game. We are sick of zombie games now, giant B-movie monsters FTW.

Maybe that'll be the new mode in CoD Black ops :D sadly it wont be, as its far to awesome to exist on this plane of reality
