I'm just wondering... what happens if it gets so bad that any hope of meaningful discussion on the articles goes out the window? Because right now you've essentially got an entire front page of the finest in internet idiocy, which is bad... but it could easily get far worse than what we've seen so far.
So this no ban policy...

Oh for sure, as it stands it's ignorable (just). But there's plenty of people out there who will happily flame posters all day and all night. All that's going to happen then is the people with opinions worth reading are just going to stop posting.

I'm going to stand by the policy. I'm sure it'll be a rod for the site's back at times, but I do really believe that people should be able to say what they want to say. Heavily modded sites are horrible. You just get a bunch of people saying what they think they can say in an effort to not get banned.
