God yea its awful everthing amazing about the cartoon is just not in the movie plus the acting (shudders) also czsting white actors to play asian parts now thats just plain wrong, my opinion of course.

I agree. Shyamalan is on my shit-list now big time. I love the animation and have converted many to be its acolytes. It just falls flat on its face. Please, watch the series, it's a billion times better.
I also recently saw the happening, and I have to say that Shyamalan doesn't half take the piss. What a shite movie. ;_;

That's a shame, I too love the Avatar series.
I'll skip it at the cinema and put it on the dvd rental list.
It's getting slated review wise, I wonder if they'll make the other two now...

Yup. They are already working on the next one. They made back their production costs and then some so because it was profitable, they are continuing onwards with the trilogy.
I too thought his rendition was garbage. Even if there wasnt the cartoon to compare it to, it was still a crappy movie. It's even worse that the cartoon series was so friggin AMAZING, M.Night comes out and makes such a horrible adaptation. M.Night for sure is on the top of my SHIT LIST....ive already told my wife that we arent wasting any of our money on any future films made by this ass.
