WTF my code doesn't work :(

i got a code for a red dead theme which did, but the 400 point code doesn't BASTARDS!

None of the codes work, they've fucked up and sent out codes which are only valid on the US marketplace. Apparently that Acey Bongos joker is looking into it. :-)

Ditto on receiving the useless 400 points, I did find it a bit odd we got US redemption codes on a UK (or was is EU?) only competition lol

Still, the premium theme is queued to download for when I get home :D I'm sure they'll sort out the free points soon

The theme's a bit crap, apparently.

Bongos says they're sorting the codes out. I surmise they'll just authorise the existing codes to work on the UK marketplace rather than sending new ones out.

does the system give you a 8016a04b error code?

I was getting that with a prepaid card from America, and asked a buddy from US to authorize it. you just have to log in with an american ip.

i tried to redeem it through xbox.com and it pops up with a little message saying "code int valid blud"

yeah i got the email through last night, good times

i still haven't got enough points for my beloved puzzle quest. Yesturday i signed up to and bought 4200 points and a 12 month live subscription from http://www.xboxliveuk76.com/ as you get the codes emailed to you.....12 hours later they refund me my money saying they only take verified paypal accounts???

Fair enough, but they could've bloody said

i've now noticed the minuscule link on the paypal website to verify you account, so it'll be a little while yet before i can partake in some sexy puzzle battle action, i guess i'll just have to finish off playing with Alan tonight

That's weird, I bought a sub from them a couple of months back and my account's not verified. Maybe you just tried to spend too much in one go or something?

I bought 2100 "instant access" points from ShopTo yesterday for £15.99. And they really were 'instant access' - like two seconds after I clicked 'buy' the code arrived. Impressive.

i tried ShopTo first yesturday, when i'm not logged in it tells me the instant points are available to purchase, but when i do log in they become unavailable :?

with the refund i got a note from xboxliveuk76 saying:
"Hi,Due to the high fraud volume rate we can only accept paypal verified accouts only.Thanks."

maybe it's just a recent thing

why is it so bloody difficult!!!1!1!1!!!

my gold subscription runs out today, i might not bother renewing it, the only game i play online is SSF4 and i haven't played it in a while, and i haven't played a decent demo the year. I'm just gonna hold off until i desperately need to play something online (and something that i can't just play online my ps3, might be a long old wait)
