Jeez, gotta love it. US Soccer needed this. We have one of the best US soccer clubs in our home town, Rochester NY. The Rhinos can easily pack in 12K-15K a night. That might not seem like much to you UK folks, but the average US attendance is like 2K-3K. Not kidding. By comparasion Nascar and NCAA Footballs top venues can be at or over 100K. And NFL also packs em in good, most stadiums aren't that much tho.
It would be nice to see US Soccer get a boost from the World Cup.

I much prefer it this way, winning the group meant a easier run to the final, most likely Ghana then south Korea for the US

i wonder what the press (german and uk press especialy) would have written if germany would have shot a own goal in the last seconds (which would have ment that germany would end 2nd in group and so would dodge england and argentina and instead play the US and uruguy/southkorea.
Headlines would be hilarious.
