I also replayed gow1 and 2. Finished both just yesterday. Fantastic games. Almost flawless. Really among the best of the best. Look great in hd. So glad that the US version of the hd collection runs on european ps3s...i hear you about difficulty though. Same happened to me. Played III on normal and had to switch to easy at the last boss. Made me mad then but now i really try not to let any game stress me. You don't have any magic when you start that cave level but you do gain your first magical ability (Typhon's Bane) there.
