Origins and The Room already did destructable weapons and it was terrible in both.

Enemies that only ever get knocked out is in Siren aswell, it works in there but I don't think it would work with the more exploration basis of the Silent Hill titles. I think a Nemesis or Haunting Ground style enemy that can follow you through areas, track you like Walter from 4 could work surprisingly well alongside the normal enemies.

I'd be for enemies that can never die, but can only be temporarily stunned, and your weapons all take damage the more you use them. Any guns would have EXTREMELY limited ammo. Like three clips for the whole game or something.

The problem with Shattered Memories was that it wasn't scary at all. By hard coding areas as action and areas as investigation they took any tension out of the series. It had some nice ideas but it was far too obvious about everything. Plus I still want combat in Silent Hill but I don't need to be lord death of murder town.

They need to go the Amnesia route and just remove combat entirely. It's always been terrible and the recent entries that try to focus on it have only made it worse. Shattered Memories was a step in the right direction and they should continue in that direction rather than trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

I honestly think SIlent Hill would be a game that is best like Tell Tale's games. Konami obviously doesn't care about the series. I think it would be better in a episodic version. Just think similiar writing that was seen in Walking Dead series but for Silent Hill. I think that would be a fantastic idea and the series can live on and be affordable for the people involved publisher and consumer. My two cents anyways.

This would have been a better idea had the game been good. Still it was slightly better than Homecoming.

this would have been a better idea when it came out or announced not afterwards with its buggy release.

To be honest.. no. I'm a life long Silent Hill fan and I'd rather the trash they put out disappear quickly to be forgotten than be released on PC and taunt my existence forever.
