I just carry the system into my bedroom at night. Not only can I shut the TV off and watch Netflix, post on VG247, and play games. But I can set the system up w/o a TV. Just put it on your night stand, turn it on, and use the gamepad. Pretty cool. Oh and you don't need the sensor bar, unless your going to use the Wii. Wife and I were playing yesterday with WiiMotes and the sense bar was unpluged. But when we tried to play NSMBWii, it wouldn't work. Needed the bar for that, seems strange.

Hm... try boosting the signal like this. If it doesn't fit maybe try this. :p

Not gone too far with mine but a wall in the way tends to kill the connection. Wifi issues shouldn't affect it as it's using it's own dedicated system not the wifi. Though I suppose there could be interference, depends which sort of band it uses.

Just wanted to check with any Wii U owners about pad range.

Mine manages to get in the room directly oppisite the living room (about 3 meters away from Wii U but through a wall),

but doesn't reach to the bedroom (about 8 meters away)?

Is that about right for distance? I've left all my doors open etc...

Am on BT Infinity but seem to be having a bit of problem with wifi at the moment. Would this affect the pad atall?

Basically, what im saying is I want to be lazy and play in bed! ;)
