Not only can I shut the TV off and watch Netflix, post on VG247, and play games. But I can set the system up w/o a TV. Just put it on your night stand, turn it on, and use the gamepad. Pretty cool. Oh and you don't need the sensor bar, unless your going to use the Wii. Wife and I were playing yesterday with WiiMotes and the sense bar was unpluged. But when we tried to play NSMBWii, it wouldn't work. Wifi issues shouldn't affect it as it's using it's own dedicated system not the wifi.
