The choice was pretty simple...then I went on Bestbuy.com and saw they had a Sony 3D Blu-Ray player for $100. THEN the choice was easy. This internet enabled device has all the same apps the PS3/Xbox have for streaming movies (Hulu, Netflix, Vudu etc) AND the ability to play Blu-Ray's which she had this aging samsung DVD player from a couple of years ago that could use some replacing/upgrading. When Apple TV is £99. The Apple TV works great in converting your current hd tv into a smart one. You can download and install apps with easy, and you definitely have quality control on apps because its apple, while these so called android smart boxes are very half baked.
