As Giskard said, it's a 2nd rate Deus Ex. As for being bug ridden, I won't call it bug ridden. The thing is, I heard a lot about its bugs from a co-worker but on the 360 I didn't find any huge bugs. It was pretty much on par with most console RPGs in that regard and was pretty much least buggy Obsidian game since ever. The characters part though I kinda agree but then, most of modern RPGs are filled with those types.
