Active Planetside 1 players will get first access starting Monday, followed by inactive Planetside 1 accounts, then the "Priority access" keys they've been handing out over the last week or so, then finally people who applied for the beta via the PS2 site will get in. Staggered over what I have read "maybe as long as 2 or 3 weeks" depending on how well things go. I think I kinda died a little inside :( Is it just me or are some of the forum captcha's getting rather brutal? Usually Vanu are in the minority, probably because of their techno style, but it's kinda hard to gauge where the game is gonna go. The continents look a lot smaller this time around too. Follow anything to do with SOE. Managed to scrounge one myself, so hopefully I'll see you there guys. Let's figure out a server to play on and a faction to gather up in. I'd recommend going for whatever there's fewer of. Back in the original, there were quite a few guys who did absolutely nothing in the game except crewing vehicles. You could probably do a better job of that with a pad. The specialization and effort that people put into it just made everything feel so coordinated. I've never seen anything like it since. I got tapped last weekend, but I haven't had the chance to participate in any of the tests yet. Looking at the servers, it seems like things are in their proper order. Lots and lots of Conglomerate, and Vanu not so much :P Being an old Vanu that's music to my ears. Always outnumbered, never outgunned. I'm a bit worried by the fact that they'll be going free to play. The original PS had a heavy focus on community at its core, but I think the fact that people paid for their subscriptions meant that you had a lot more serious players who really wanted to work for the best experience. I hope it won't be a casual mess. Fingers crossed! We should totally set up a VG247 outfit if we have enough guys :)
