@Froseidon
Yes I do,I didn't get that option cause Legion died on me in ME 2.I also lost Thane,Miranda(ME2)and Urdnot Wrex(ME).I could've played the trilogy more than once just like EVERYONE else but I didn't.I wanted it to be really a unique experience where the choices I made throughout 100+ hours of the trilogy REALLY made an impact,whether they were easy or difficult to make or their outcome was good or bad...and a unique experience it was..till those endings anyway :).They only partially redeemed themselves with this "extended cut" but I am definitely looking forward to whatever the future holds for Mass Effect universe,even if it means more COMMANDER SHEPARD.
@Giskard
"Nothing else felt right after 3 games fighting them."
Nuff said.

@Edo - You know both the Quarians and Geth can live in harmony, right?

Destroyed the Reapers,my Shepard needs to live:)!The only downside was that EDI was destroyed too(I chose Quarians over Geth earlier cuz my bro Garrus needed a little lovin' from Tali :)).And btw,that "refusal" ending is just plain retarded!I mean seriously,first Protheans failed,and then we played 3 games just to fail some more!?F*ck that shit!

Extended Cut kinda fixed that.

All in all, still the best trilogy of this console generation.

@Giskard That was actually one of my biggest gripes with the endings, the way destroy was portrayed as the wrong choice made it seem like everything I'd fought for over the 3 games was wrong. I felt kinda robbed by it.

Well, I must say they should've put extended cut in there from the beginning. I have no idea why they decided to give us the ending the way they did but Extended Cut felt better, much much better and now I'm happy with my endings. but, I didn't go for Synthesis as my ending mainly because I didn't like the concept all that much. To me it felt it somehow takes the individuality of each race and person away. My ending for my Male Shepard was the control, cuz after the ending prologues it was the right choice. And my FemShep the destruction in which not everything died and she also survived, so it seems.

So, finally I'm happy with my Mass Effect 3 experience. It was helluva run and I'm anxiously waiting to see where the ME universe will go from here. The Shepard Trilogy epic is over but we're not done with the universe.

I liked the original endings. They weren't the most original, and did not reflect on ALL the choices I made, but they provided closure to an epic trilogy. These new and improved endings just make it better.

Still my favourite game series this gen, even though the first was undoubtedly superior.

@Froseidon
I feel the same. I was fairly content with the original ending although the more I though about it the more I realised they weren't very good.
I chose the synthesis ending also and would again because I just couldn't justify killing all synthetic life including the geth and EDI while still having the potential for synthetic life to wipe out organic life anyway. And I also though the control method, like you said, was too open to 'corruption' of the controller.
I'd definitely say the new endings are better, the extra sequences add alot more closure and round off the story much better as well.
I'd say the still issues, like the lack of foreshadowing and ultimate lack of effect all the decisions you made had on the ending.

I felt refusal was probably the worst ending purely because of how it ended. It seems illogical to make that choice.

Synthesis was the ending I chose before Extended Cut, and it is the ending I would chose again. Your 'space magic' made me laugh a bit as it is still unexplained but I just feel it is the better ending.

It seems there is still some explaining to do on Bioware's behalf but I get the feeling it might be explained in a later DLC (Leviathan, I will not go into details / spoilers. If you wish to find that out, the article is on VG).

If I am honest, I was probably one of the few that was satisfied with the endings in the first place. Bioware stated they wanted to continue the ME universe, but without Shepard, so I feel it will still be explained and I am content to wait. This is, after all, one of my favourite stories.

I felt that it gave closure on Shepard as a definite (except for the destroy ending as the gasping man is still left on a cliffhanger) but the galaxy hasn't had closure yet. Seeing as they wish to continue the franchise, I am comfortable with this outcome.

I have ME3 on the PS3 in the UK and so I haven't got my hands on the Extended Cut DLC, however, I've watched all the endings on Youtube.

I feel much better about the endings. I still have a few issues but Bioware have provided more closure, even if it was just a slideshow, and fixed a few of the plot holes.

I cannot choose which ending is best though. Destroy, while most fitting to the series, has the saddest outcome (not including Refusal). Synthesis is the happiest but it is also arguably the most stupid (Space magic?). Finally, although I like the idea behind control, it is also very strange. God-Shep could easily go insane and continue the cycle and so it does not seem like a permanent solution. This is also true of Destroy as with the reapers gone, Starchild's theory that synthetics will destroy us still remains a potential problem. Refusal was a nice touch but it is too depressing.

So overall I cannot pick a favourite. What do you think, better or still annoyed and which ending is the your favourite?
