After playing Journey for the last 30 minutes, it dawned on me. This game does for sand, what Wave Race 64 did for water back in 1996. The sand (only ONE of the many amazing things in this game), is the best I've seen in a videogame to date...hands down. Even tops Uncharted 3 and that's hard to say but I feel it's true.

Also, something about this game, it reminds me of an old Atari 2600 game for some reason. That may sound odd, but does anyone else feel it too? I guess it's the feeling of not really being told where to go or what to do and you wonder this big open land with little land marks placed here and there. Some of the symbols on the blocks too. Don't misunderstand, I LOVE this feeling and strange comparison, it's a HUGE compliment to the game creators, especially in today's industry. It reminds me of like a fully realized 3D world of the old atari game riddle of the sphinx done mondern artistic indy style/feeling of production

Blabber free edit = you must experience this journey of a game. When you hear it in the same sentence as the word "art", it's for a reason.

Very impressed with the style and the sand is probably most realistic I've ever seen in a video game, perhaps even better than U3 desert. Had to start over twice now cause i got hypnotized by the games atmosphere and lost my way of direction. That's ok though cause i can't wait to start over again. I really like that they don't tell you where to go or what to do. That makes it feel kind of like a puzzle/adventure game. Good stuff, worthy of your money.

I think the game is amazing. The co-op experience is very unique as well.

Played through it with my 6 year old last night. Both of us were completely entranced by it. The single most beautiful gaming experience I've ever had. And fun too, IMO.
