I played through carrying over my ME1 save with Wrex and Ashley alive. On my first playthrough I played as paragon, destroyed the base and kept all of my team alive.

I'm now playing again as renegade, and have to just recruit Tali before I go for the Reaper IFF. I might save the base this time so I've got two options for ME3. I'll still try to keep all the team alive though.

#frostquake It's not that I let the forums dictate me,I just wanted to know what other people think, what do they (or in this case you guys)prefer...as I have finished ME2 main story 15 months ago,and will definitely leave it as it is,despite the facts that I have found about ME3.

SPOILERS FOR ME2 won't say anything about ME3

Tali is my Fave Character and who Shep had a Relationship with! I saved the Base, and I am sure that it WILL bite me in the ass, and end up turning the Tech against me somehow, but maybe it will help to!

All my minor Ships Crew Died, but I saved ALL the Main Characters you acquire in the game and DLC..so I am happy that I kept them all, basically they all liked me and that kept them from dying.

Just let it RIDE I say..who cares what the FORUMS say...Were you NOT fine until you READ all the forums..don't let the FORUMS dictate to you..are you going to let them choose what color of shoes to wear or what books to read???

I hope, but I know I'll be disappointed, that Kasumi is in ME3. She's the best character the series ever had and she has about 1/20th of the dialogue of everyone else.

Tali is probably my favourite character in the series, but for the sake of the story I've decided that I'm going to use my first ME2 complete playthrough file going into Mass Effect 3, which is the one she died in,

I just hope they include more than a simple passing reference to her in Mass Effect 2. A full conversation with some NPC character or two about her death at least.

When there's a good story involved with twists here and there I usually play with 2 different characters. In Mass Effect 1 and 2 case, one female and one male, with my male Shepard I approach everything my way, and my female one I do it the way I wouldn't do things normally. So it gives each a different sense and I like it, and no, I'd not try things like looking something up on the net to see how other people did it to make things turn out differently. I actually lost Dr. Solus which I really liked him to my poor decisions and Jack to the first impact on Normandy. And on each char I couldn't really kill Samara, she must be my favorite Mass Effect character. So I like my own playing style, but I want to see more choices in dialogue, and more variety to it.

i played mass effect 2 twice. the second time i thought id mix it up a bit. but to do something u dont rly want defeats the purpose of these games. so i basicly made the same choices as the first time. i just did different loyalty missions.

from what ive heard few of the me2 characters will b present in me3 since all of them could die.

For ME3 I'm gonna have my original ME2 save where Thane, Garrus and Legion died and then my second, perfect save for a second run as I always do ME games twice.

This is something I do too. I'd rather have *my* story than the Ideal one. I make a point of not unearthing every little subplot in games like Fallout 3 because I prefer to have a unique experience rather than an all encompassing one.

"If you don't try to change what happens it means what happens will mean more",that's exactly what I was going for,I mean what's the point of the "choice making" if you 're going to change it afterwards anyway!?

You know what Edo just do that thing. I like that approach. I think that it means that what happens is more significant because you know that what happens will affect how you play in the next game. For me I play Mass Effect games for the emotional value and the character depth. If you don't try to change what happens it means what happens will mean more.
I'm gonna try your method from now on, thank you.

For example in Dragon Age: Origins I made this really big decision that made a character like me alot less. I personally enjoyed this character very much and felt really bad for kind of betraying him. The second time I played it I avoided this option and found the perfect ending route, which was nice but ultimately a bit hollow. Maybe they should just completely remove the great ending. I know In mass effect 1 when you have to deicide which one dies and which one lives, for me it was the hardest decision Iv'e ever made in a game. It was a special and unique moment for me.

WARNING:SPOILERS FOR BOTH ME2 & ME3 AHEAD!!!

I am probably one of the rare people that played Mass Effect 2 only once and here is the final outcome:
- Miranda died(yes I know, just for the sake of that ass it's worth replaying:)
-Thane died(the dude was terminally ill anyway)
-Legion died(he made me nervous in the mission prior to Suicide mission and I was accidentally shooting at him a lot simply because old habits die hard I guess:)
-I did not destroy the Collector's Base simply because I thought that it might give us the upper hand against the Reapers, but now as I have found out that Cerberus is out for my ass I can see that it was probably not such a good idea after all.
Now,the reason i did not replay it was that I wanted to keep that sense of realism that comes with the choices that you have to make(whether good or bad),but as I have read on many forums, majority of people don't give a rat's ass about "realism" and they just want everyone to stay alive and to have perfect saved game to import to ME3,so what do you guys think and please,no SPOILERS for ME3!
