As a child, I spent a year in Japan ( Okayama prefecture- Tamano City, right on the east coast, but in the Inland Sea so *should* have been protected ). </p> <p>Just caught up on it all as I came to work with Radio 4 news and can't believe it's still getting worse with the nuclear plant. It's just horrendous.</p> <p>I've lost touch with all my old childhood friends from there but I'm desperately hoping they got through unscathed.
