"Even microsoft knows they have to put a controller for kinect out there."

I strongly agree with ya here Lex. Even just a couple of buttons would be a big help. Plus having something to hold onto that represents the Bowling Ball/Racket/gun/whatever would help out too.

Ironic really, they wanted to make the whole "you are the controller" thingie, and yet they could really use one.

I have a MOVE as well, no Wii, no Kinect, but do have a 360. My biggest worry? No games.

Come on Sony, don't screw us over here, let's get the move games going!!

Yes I have been to the kinect demos. And, everytime I watched I laughed as I saw people doing different jestures then what the screen was doing and it registered as perfect. Playstation eye tracts as well it just tracts your silohouette<.< anyways. There both great experiences and depending on the game you play depends on the tech you'll see for move.

Kinect does its job well, and move does its job well. But, I see move as the future being cam and controller together. Even microsoft knows they have to put a controller for kinect out there.

But the Move cam doesn't track your movments in game, does it? Just the wand in "3d space". I am not advocating Move over Kinect or vica versa, tbh, I think both are a bit over rated, but ... seems apples and oranges to me.

Have you had a go with Kinect yet?

Because to me it does stuff that simply isn't possible with a motion controler. It tracks you and your movement. You move your arm and it knows. Move your leg and same thing. You duck down, it tracks that. You get the idea.

Move only tracks the motion of the wand(s). But it doesn't seem to care if your sitting down, standing up, hoping on one foot, or whatever - so long as the wand moves in the right manor the game will be happy.

The games on Move disguise this by often showing you an avatar representation of you or a reverse feedback image of you on the TV screen, and then attaching the "arm"/wand on said avatar. It is all very clever. My wife thinks she is in the game with something like Eye Pet. But she isn't. The game reacts to the wands motion, and at the sametime displays what the cam sees on the screen. Then it overlays the Pet on your image, while still tracking and reacting to only the wand.

You get a different experience w/Kinect.

Move is a more accurite Wii, with a cam.

None of it my cup of Tea. But I can see the draw for some. But after playing on Wii for awhile Move felt like a Wii 2.0 to me. Kinect actualy felt like something new and different.

If you like it then more power to you tho.

I'll be getting the MOVE soon as I now own a few games that have MOVE support. Apparently Heavy Rain with Move is really good, so I cannot wait to try it out.

Og I will actually. One of my motivations for getting it was Micheal Jackson the experience. I played it on the wii an had a lot of fun even though it was tilt based. And I realised, this game has 2 counterparts coming out soon. One for kinect and one for move. I. Choose move because I felt it offered what both kinect and wii versions offer. Making it the superior buy, there's also games I will get to use it such as heavy rain and sorcery.

And, honestly I love the option of using either motion controller, regular controller, or camera. Not 1 or the other. Very few move games isolate you to just the move controller. And I appreciate that. And M2kx no I was comparing the quality of fun vs percision. Where percision can actually from time to time be a buzz kill

I own a MOVE. The truth tho is that I don't use it any more then I use the Wii. Just that no games for it that I really want to play. And I don't care to switch my control method on games that have perfected their current scemes. Why use motion controls just for the sake of using motion controls?

I also own Kinect. I like it a lot better then I thought I would. Better, imo then either Wii or Move. The game selection still stinks, but with Kinect you really feel immersed in the experience. With Wii/Move you can convince yourself(if you like) that your in the game. But in Kenect you are in the game. Your body is represented on screen and it moves when you do. Thats neat.

I don't play Kinect either, lest not often enough to make it worth the price we paid for it. And none of this tech works perfectly. But lest with Kinect your totaly forced to move(no pun intended). In groups(if you have enough controlers(Wii/Move), you can have a lot of fun feeling foolish and laughing with/at each other.

Just that you really can't take any of it too seriously. But you can have a bit of fun, and after all isn't that the point of gaming anyways?

Enjoy your Move Lex, I hope your still playing/enjoying it three months from now.

One thing these type of things all do well is impress the first few times you use 'em.

I totally see your point lexph3re. I haven't spent any time with a Move, but I have with a Wii.

The problem with making a controller sporting razor's edge precision is that it's pretty hard to hit something precisely, sitting down several yards away with just the flick of a wrist.

Imagine having to hit the exact spot on your tv where the optical reciever is located with your remote. You really appreciate a certain margin of error in that case :P

I really liked using a motion controller for simple shooting games though. RE4 on the Wii is a lot better than it is on any other platform because of it, in my opinion. I got it for the PS2 as well.

I don't think any of the new devices have really come into their own, and I'd say that even the Wii has yet to reach it's full potential. But they're fun, and that's pretty important when it comes to gaming.

That's why I bought move, so I wouldn't have to buy wii. None of the first party titles interest me anymore. Also, move is getting its library as well as the games its incorporated in up there. I was surprised to see that when I bought dead space(standard/limited edition) it was 2 games for the price of 1. I thought you had to buy the collectors edition for that.

Before I try kz3 or socom with move I'm gonna try it with m.a.g first. I don't know how to respond to that precision. Its too new to me, lol pretty bad I'm afraid to see how flawed I am. But, I don't think move would suffer to badly with sony pullin the psp kits last year. An ps2 development has ended and the last new game that will release for it is this april. So, I think sonys prime focus will be ps3 and move this year. Then ps3, move and ngp next year.

I'm also gonna try heros on the move later. Jeez to many games and so little time. Especially since I have my newborn now.lol I don't think I can manage this now.

Try the gladiator event in Sports Champions. Utterly brilliant. As for KZ3 - try a 30% dead zone and set the sensitivity to half way and you should be good to go. ;)

hmmm someone got there tax return ;) Nice job dude on that sweet collection of games right there. I love the MOVE....I love it so much that my wii is still in the box unopened since the day I bought it last NOV on black Friday. The accuracy is great and its biggest strength and weakness. Sometimes it can be too sensitive and it takes a while to learn how to control that.

My biggest disappointment so far with MOVE is the games for it. This thing is almost like another platform and SONY has it hands full with like 5 different systems atm (PS2,PSP,PS3,MOVE,and PSP2). I don't know how they can balance everything and MOVE may suffer a bit from all that. I just downloaded PlayStation Move Heros and I'm going to give it a try right now, but my biggest gripe is we need more simple fun semi core/casual MOVE games. I'm so looking forward to sorcery.

I don't want to use MOVE with KZ3 or SOCOM4 because the sensitivity and adjusting everything down to a perfect T is annoying and time consuming.

So today I just bought dead space 2, mvc3, and ps move. Now, I tested sports champions out and I was surprised just how accurate it was. In a way its to damn accurate.lol I noticed an immediate difference in archery in move vs wii. I only have one remote(which I'm not sure why nav control isn't good to use for it) and it was surprisingly simple. Just grab arrow point and shoot. Now I have some adjusting to do in my living room area. I didn't realise my ceiling was so low and not a lot of room is in my apt.

But, again I was upset with wii for its inaccuracy. However, now I see its inaccurate for the fun factor. Now I'm not saying move isn't fun but I can see where it would be taken way more seriously. I felt like I would never want to pull the casual lay on the couch and play like I would with wii. In fact I feel to obligated to move. That's a hit and miss you know? Well when I get home ill be playing dead space extraction and ill be able to see the point shoot games out.

Before then though, could some of you let me know your experiences? What do you like? What do you dislike?
