Shin Megami Tensei 4 gameplay video is 10 minutes in Japanese, but gives you the idea
A video showing 10 minutes of gameplay from Shin Megami Tensei 4 has hit YouTube, and despite the fact it’s Japanese, English speakers should have no problem following along. The latest entry in the franchise is over 50 hours long, a 3DS exclusive, and arrives in North America on July 16.

Shelter looks to be coming along quite nicely if new screens and trailer are any indication
Might and Delight has announced its new project, Shelter, has been given a set of new screenshots and new gameplay footage. You can have a look at both below. The game is still under development, but the assets should give you an idea of how the game is coming along. Shelter, which stars a badger mother and her cubs, is scheduled for release on PC and Mac in 2013.

WildStar: Settler and Scientist content detailed with videos
Carbine Studios has released additional information on WildStar’s two remaining Paths: Scientist and Settler. Paths have been incorporated into character creation as well as integrated into the core gameplay. You can see how this works in the videos below as you get to know the Scientist and Settler a bit better. There’s some screenshots below in as well. Wildstar is expected later this year and you can sign up for the beta here.

EA Sports trailers show off new Ignite Engine
EA Sports has released some videos showing off its new Ingnite Engine. Feast your eyes below. EA Sports announced a partnership today with Xbox One, but didn’t go into details on what it was – likely it has to do with exclusive content for its UFC, NBA Live, and Madden licenses. The firm announced today that FIFA 14 Ultimate Team would launch on Xbox One exclusively, so the partnerships is likely more incentives such as this; however, the games will also be released on PS4, but whether versions for Sony’s console will also contain exclusive content remains to be seen.

Obsidian and Allods Online team announce partnership on Skyforge MMO
Mail.ru has announced that its Allods Online team is working with Obsidian Entertainment on a new MMO called Skyforge. The news was announced yesterday during the Russian Game Developer’s Conference. Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart called the project “interesting and promising,” and feels the partnership will be “a great experience for all of us.” Announced in May 2012, the MMO is slated for release on PC in 2014. The Sims 3: Island Paradise producer walkthrough takes you to the beach
The Sims 3: Island Paradise is out next month, and EA has released a video walkthrough for the expansion in which the producer introduces you to the sunny shores and glistening waters of Isla Paradiso. Sims can build and customize houseboats and resorts, and scuba dive to explore the ocean floor. The Sims 3: Island Paradise will be made available on June 25.

City Interactive’s Alien Fear has had its name changed to Alien Rage
City Interactive has announced it has changed the name of its sci-fi, arcade-FPS Alien Fear – announced in 2012 – to Alien Rage. The game, which includes all sorts of weapons, firing modes, 21 enemy types and eight different bosses will be shown at E3 this year alongside its RPG Lords of the Fallen. Alien Rage will be available via digital distribution later this year for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. A teaser video is below.

In Ascend: Hand of Kul, formerly known as Ascend: New Gods, the deity you align yourself with will provide your character with specific abilities in which to dispatch of your enemies.The chaotic Goddess of Darkness, the “zealous” God of Light, or the “manipulative” Lord of the Void will each bestow upon the faithful various spells as well as abilities which can enhance your melee damage or reinforce your armor. The Last of Us soundtrack composed by Gustavo Santaolalla headed to Music Unlimited
In more The Last of Us news, the game’s soundtrack is heading to Sony’s Music Unlimited. It will be made available in a “few weeks,” meaning you should probably expect it when the game releases. To get a taste of what to expect, Naughty Dog has released a video featuring Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla who created the soundtrack. It’s the first time the composer has worked on a video game, and you can get an idea of what his process was like below. The Last of Us is out worldwide on June 14.
